1 Brother, 2 Neighbors and a Partridge in a Pear Tree...???

Before I go any further with my blogging, I think you need to know something about me... I have  never once... in my entire life... referred to myself as a writer.   I’m not.    Wait...or am I?  Nah...but then... anyone can be a writer, per se, right?  Being good at writing...well, that’s a different story entirely.
My initital reason for  starting this “blogging business” was a means to help me with my “writing skills.”  I’ve been working on a  writing project for quite some time now and I’d really like to finish it!  A few months back (actually, I think it's been a year now) when I first started on this project, I didn’t even know where to begin or how to get across on paper what I was thinking in my head. That’s what a good writer does in my opinion: gets the point across, while connecting with the reader and keeps that reader entertained. That’s A-lot (with a capital “A” ) to accomplish for someone who isn’t even a writer (technically speaking).
I’ve faced some, shall we say, “challenging” moments to get things going and hone in on my writing.  One day, I even cleared out the sitting room that’s off of my bedroom.  I set up my computer, a desk and all of my notes and files...and s-p-r-e-a-d everything out.  This for sure, would lead me to genius writing!   I sit down.  Deep breath in...let it out.  Stare at computer screen.  Tap fingernails on keyboard for 5 minutes.  Go do laundry.  Come back with cup of tea to stare at screen some more.  Find myself staring out window.  Notice windows need cleaning and next thing you know, I am attacking all windows in house with windex and squeegee.  I get distracted easily.
You may be asking yourself at this point, “What in the world does this have to do with blogging?”  Well I’m getting to it.  You see, I find it’s easy to “blog.”  It’s a verb that I enjoy.   While it may seem like a bunch of random posts - pictures, writings, silly thoughts (and it pretty much is), it’s easy to sit down for 15 minutes and write something out.  Anything.  It sparks other thoughts which, in turn, help with my project.
And so back to the semi-beginning...I never had any intentions of sharing this with anyone.  It was for me to use as a “tool.”    I had decided to tell my brother and two “blogging” neighbors, just to get some feedback.  I haven’t really told my family and friends yet because, well, I like doing this.  It’s fun.  It’s easy.  And I’m gonna say it...I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.  So I guess, quite frankly, I don’t want anyone’s negativity to ruin it for me.  So I’ve kept it on the “down low.”  But then...it happened...(insert dramatic music for effect)... information about my blog has...(gasp)...leaked!   Family and friends have now discovered my “anonymous” blog (which really isn’t that anonymous to begin with what with my picture and name displayed all over it).  Crap.  Who would ever find me out here in cyberspace?  Turns out, 2 cousins, an aunt, 3 friends and a partridge in a pear tree.  So whatever... it’s out.
To sum up this very long post: “Hi.  My name is Danielle and I like to blog.  I've been a blogger for 22 days now.”  If you’ve taken the time to read a post or two...by all means, make a comment.  Sign up as a follower.  Make known that you were here. Don't hide.  Tell me what you think.  Give me ideas.  And to quote Jerry Maguire: “Help me...help you.” (just wanted to use that line...it’s my favorite one).
