10 Aggregate Nutrient Density Index Foods

You've heard the saying, "You are what you eat", or "Make every bite count", haven't you? The following 10 foods truly are ones to eat as frequently as possible. The nutritional values of these foods are fantastic and your body will be so thankful to you as well. Included in this list? Nuts & Seeds, Fruits, Non-green vegetables, Beans and of course, the top 10 super "greens". Don't know how to add them in recipes? So many times the green vegetables can simply be steamed or stir-fried with a little extra virgin olive oil, a sprinkling of Kosher salt and pepper. If you dare, add a few pepper flakes for a little added flavor. 
I had this amazing Watercress Soup not long ago. The recipe comes from a cookbook called, "The Great Country Inns of America" by James Stroman.
Cream of Watercress Soup
1 quart chicken stock with bay leaf
1 large potato, peeled and diced
1 onion, diced
2 bunches of watercress, chopped
1 pint heavy cream (or I use evaporated milk, less calories and still great flavor)
3 tbsps. butter
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Freshly grated nutmeg added to soup upon serving
Saute the onions and watercress in the butter in a large soup pot. Add the chicken stock and diced potato. Cook until the potatoes are soft. Puree in batches in a blender or food processor and return to pot. Add the cream, salt, and pepper and heat until hot but not boiling, stirring to blend well. Add the nutmeg at the end. Serves 6-8 people.
