Beauty isn’t just about looking good, it’s also about feeling healthy and beautiful. There are so many different beauty products out there, especially for women, but if you read the ingredients on the back do you understand the long and complex words? We certainly don’t! Not only are many products filled with chemicals, but they can also cost you a pretty penny. What you may not realize is that in your kitchen there are many items you already have, that you can utilize to maintain your beauty.


Egg White Face Mask

The nutrients in the eggs whites, opens and cleans out the dirt and blackheads, in your pores. Many swear by this remedy and use egg white masks at least once a week.  Dampen your face with a washcloth. Separate your egg white from the yolk and then layer onto your face three times. Let the mask harden for 15 minutes and then peel off.

Egg Yolk, Olive Oil, and Honey to Make Your Hair Shine

Depending on the length of your hair your ingredients will vary. Use about 1 Tbsp of olive oil and honey and two egg yolks. Massage the mixture in your hair and make sure it is scrubbed into your scalp. Throw your hair into a towel and then let it sit for 30 minutes. Afterwards, rinse your hair with warm water.



Lemons Remove Dry Patches

The acid in lemons breaks down the dead skin cells, which will help smooth out your dry patches. Cut a lemon to wear a full circle is showing then rub on dry elbows, knees, or heels. When life gives you lemons, make your dry patches go away!

Coffee Grinds Remove Cellulite

Who knew! Caffeine in coffee beans can shrink your fat cells. Grind up your coffee beans and mix with 4 Tsp. of olive oil. Rub onto specific area for 2 minutes twice a day.

Dark Circle Eye Mask

Mix 1 pinch of parsley and 2 Tbsp. of plain yogurt and then place under your eyes. The parsley is rich in vitamins and minerals that rejuvenate your skin. The yogurt works as a cooling effect for puffiness.

Vegetable Oil for Dry Hands and Nails

My grandma taught me this trick and I rarely ever use hand lotion. Just a small amount goes a long way!

Sugar Hand Scrub

Mix sugar and water in a bowl and then rub your hands in the mix. The sugar ingredient acts as an exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin. Goodbye dead skin, hello silky hands!

Coconut Oil in All It’s Glory

Coconut oil can be used in so many different ways it blew me away. You not only can cook with it but you can: melt your oil and use it in your hair to get a healthy shine, on your body as a lotion, on your lips as a natural chap stick, can help speed up wait loss, natural deodorant, etc. Check out Wellness Mama for more tips.

Baking Soda as a Face Exfoliate

Mix together 1 Tbsp. water, 4 Tsp. Baking Soda, let the mixture sit for two minutes. Rub onto your face in circular motions then wash face with warm water. Make sure to moisturize your face afterwards.

Teeth Whitener

Mix together baking soda, water, and a little lemon juice and dip your tooth- brush into the mixture and brush. Let it sit for 1 minute than brush your teeth with your regular toothpaste.
