I tend to get competitive at weird times and in weird situations, but I think as a generality, I've given up the angst of competitiveness.

Griz 5 pts

No, I'm not competitive at all. I just figure I'll do my thing, and everyone else can do their thing.

dancingnancy 5 pts

There were 7 kids in my family, and I am smack in the middle. I had to be competitive so people would know I was still there! :)

caj5150 5 pts

.....you wouldn't believe it!!!!

colorfulcarla 5 pts

When I was a kid I certainly was, but nowdays not too much. Funny though, I'm in a very competitive field, and I think that's what made me dislike too much competition.

redfantum 5 pts

I used to be competitive. I always had to prove I was better, smarter, whatever. Now, you get what you get. I don't have anything to prove anymore.

PauleyD 5 pts

with myself, but not with other people.
I have never been one that is easily influenced by other people's opinions of me or anyone's expectations.
Whereas my wife is the opposite. She is very competitive with our neighbors and friends/family, which I just do not get.

cdabs 5 pts

There are five kids in my family, so you can imagine. I think that learning to compete in fun things as kids (card games, for instance) both made us comfortable with competition in later life and showed us that there are healthy limits.

I don't think of myself as competitive, I don't complain if I win but I don't obsess over it

I don't really do competition, I think everyone has their own niche and I try to fill mine...Now I may be competitive with myself but I don't care who 'wins', those type of things are not for me!

latishajean 5 pts

I'm not competitive really I am pretty easy going when it comes to stuff!

Yes, very much so! I am not sure it is the best trait to have sometimes, but I like to win and do a good job. I am very competitive with my brother. I am even a bit competitive with my hubby. I was always competitive in school.

bettina75 5 pts

Not really. I'm trying to teach my kiddos a healthy level of competitiveness, though. :)

JeanineMB 5 pts

Games and Sports: Yes
Houses, cars, etc: Nope (can't compete there!)

KimberlyB 5 pts

I am competitive, as a classic type-A personality. Luckily I married very laid-back man who gives up easily on any arguement, saving us both endless hours of debating until I win.

susan1215 5 pts

I was never involved in sports so I have never been competetive

scarter305 5 pts

Oh yes, I am very competitive. love to win!!

happishopr 5 pts

I come from a long line of competive people. We love and thrive on it.

js22 5 pts

well, I'd like to say no, but I am! I can do things faster and better if I put my mind to it!
But it's a friendly competition. I love to win Scrabble, but I will also help people come up with good words if they are at a loss.

Thanks for the giveaway!

Atreau 5 pts

I can be highly competitive but am primarily competitive with myself.

hbbs55 5 pts

I am competive in sports, I don't know why, I wasn't as a child.

Just call me B!

Not at all. My husband thinks I am crazy, I would rather have fun..than win!

JH33194 5 pts

Im somewhat competitive...it depends on the situation and my mood...=)

guettel78 5 pts

but I'm terribly competitive about pretty much everything. I don't often show it on the outside, but I hate when I'm outdone, corrected for mistakes, or beaten at a sport of game. I've learned to hold my temper, though, and I no longer hold grudges against my superiors, so that's a start. :)

ClaraB 5 pts

I've always resisted calling myself competitive -- and, by the way, I'm not at all athletic, so this doesn't apply to sport -- but over the years I've realized that I like to win. Ergo, that means I must be competitive after all! Mostly, 'though, I compete with myself. There's a bit of perfectionism operating, often more than I'd like.

clc408 5 pts

I can't say that I'm at all competitive. I find everyone accomplishes more through cooperation.

amyhd29 5 pts

I am and a little bit of it,never hurt anyone!

weebb33 5 pts

I am super competitive, always have, always will be!

laura57 5 pts

I wish I were more competitive than I am. I am awful when it comes to games as if I lose I think "oh well, maybe next time". I know I drive my husband, children and friends nuts with my attitude but I guess I kind of believe that somehow things will work out the way they should.

cdziuba 5 pts

I never have been competetive in the least.

poolpooli 5 pts

Yes I am competitive but depends on what it is

bwsmom 5 pts

For the most part, I've learned not to be competitive. Too many overly aggressive, short-tempered people out there who are bent on "winning" at all costs.

Many thanks!

slehan 5 pts

I'm only semi-competitive playing cribbage or trivial pursuit. Otherwise I'm not competitive at all.

jinxy 5 pts

I'm very competitive. My sister always teases me that I'm like Monica on friends.

Taminar 5 pts

I like to be the best at what I do, but I don't make a big deal out of the competition, probably because if I'm not the best, I don't want to look ever more stupid, and if I am the best, I don't want to seem obnoxious or arrogant. I don't compete in sports or games usually, but it's just a matter of what I do at work and in my hobbies. In those areas, I like to stand out.

her5boys 5 pts

I march to my own drummer and do not find myself to be competitive at all. I go at my own pace and do not try to keep up with anyone or be better than anyone...I just am myself.

bluenude3 5 pts

I am competitive in my humor and in video games of no skill required with my husband. Beyond that, no.

jayfr 5 pts

I can be competitive, depends on the circumstances. It tends to come out when playing board games with the kids.....

thatlittlehouse 5 pts

I'm more competitive than I thought

clumberkim 5 pts

I didn't think I was terribly competitive. I was never very good at sports in high school or college (though as a rugby player, I did excel in the third half, aka competitive beer drinking) so not being competitive was just easier.

When I started showing dogs in my early 30s I discovered my competitive streak. So far, it is restricted to that realm. So far.
