I used to hate my name and always wanted it shortened to just Tara...but as I got older I began to appreciate what an honor it was to have Tara-Lee as my name, since Grandma Lee was an amazing woman.

I did not like my name growing up. The story goes, I was named after two older cousins who got into a fight over which one I would be named after. I always felt my name came out of contention. Now, that I've grown up, I truly love my name.

I have always loved my name:

Amanda Williams McClelland

In fact two of my girls have Williams as their last name as well!

Mandy W.

My name suits me very well. I'm a very giving person.

willitara 5 pts

It's a common name (at least it was several years ago) but people on the telephone always get it wrong. Even when I spell it for them they can't seem to get it right. But I can't think of another name that would suit me any better.

Betty

a lot. Encouraged by my husband, I kept my maiden name when I married.

I like my name. It's peaceful sounding.

I really like my name, it has a really great meaning.

Sadly, I never have liked my name. The full monty: Cheryl Elizabeth Cecilia. When I was little (during the Mouseketeers era) I was fascinated with Annette Funicello and always wanted to be named Annette when my friends and I played house. Or Yvette. Or Yvonne (no clue where these came from). I'm used to my name now and I can't think what I'd rather be called. My husband likes my name (he thinks it sounds soft whereas I think it sounds kinda harsh)and that's enough reason for me to accept it. Especially since I won't take the trouble to change it anyway.

I always thought my name sounded super country - Laura Suzanne - but then I met my hubby and he loves it. And I love it when he calls me by my full name. :D

I hated it when I was younger but it's okay now. It's a rather plain name but that's life. lol

07violet 5 pts

I do love my name, I think it suits me, I wouldn't change it

bobspinkhouse 5 pts

I'd like to change mine to McGillicuddy!

Tack on a last name that is only held by a handful of people in this country and there's no mistaking which Jennifer I am. Proper pronunciation is generally too much to ask for though.

gervens2 5 pts

My middle name is unique. Made up actually, so that makes up for the commonality of Jennfier

gervens2 5 pts

There's always another Jennifer...or three. ;)

RobsGirl123 5 pts

I've always felt that I was given the wrong first name. My name has a hard sound to it (to me). I always wanted a name that ended in an "a".

carolpie 5 pts

it's so so. I would like a really unique or beautiful name.

eaglesforjack 5 pts

My first name is Tina, which I never minded growing up except for my last name was Turner and people always loved to joke. I was glad when I got to change it when I got married.

clynsg 5 pts

It's all right--don't either particularly like or dislike it.

ccboobooy 5 pts

Yes, I really do like my name. I'm all about the love.

susan1215 5 pts

My name is Susan which is boring and then I married and a man with the last name Smith which is too common.

hbbs55 5 pts

I've always liked my name, Holly. there were not many Holly's when I was growing up. No nick name for it, no way to shorten it.

RazzMyBerry 5 pts

My name is Breanne and I like it. I was born when everyone was being named Brittany or Jessica so I'm glad mine is different. But of course everyone adds an a to the end or spells it with an i. Which I've never understood. It's pronounced Br"E"anne so why would it have an i! Because then it should be said like Brian :)

Atreau 5 pts

I can't stand my name: Sandra. It's a boring, outdated name and my parents didn't really care about it, it's just one that they liked at the moment. When I was little I went by Sandy and then was Sandra for a long time (a name that people felt was too old for a kid) and now go by Sand.

I'm considering dropping the "RA" from my name. Just going by Sand.

My middle name is fairly bad as well, it's Christine.

JH33194 5 pts

I really don't "love" my name but im really not sure what I would change it to...

No, I've never really like my name Amy. I've always felt it was too basic and common! But hey, at least my parents didn't name me Apple.

scarter305 5 pts

Yes, I like my name. It means Wisdom.

weebb33 5 pts

I love my name because it is what my parents chose, and I miss them!

cat60 5 pts

ava02 5 pts

yes, i like my name very much.

nanjhall 5 pts

Since I have never given this a thought before, I guess I must be happy with my name:) I will say that ever since the internet has become such a huge source of information, I am glad that my name is too common to be able to search on.

amyhd29 5 pts
