The $100 Question: How Do You Raise Awareness for Your Favorite Cause?

Hi my name is robert johnson. I have a friend who has cancer.She has 2Daughters,Her daughters are ages`11 and 17.Im trying to find a way to help her with money,food,a vehicle,and gift cards,plus a small appartment.Im looking for small donations to help them.I would be over joyed to have someone guide me though this.

When people are discussing getting new animals, I always bring up our local shelters. They need forever homes!

I don't blog, but I tweet & Facebook. I let my followers know about it.

I like to spread the word on my favorite causes via Twitter and other social networking sites.

I blog about it, share on facebook and myspace, wear shirts, have a sticker on my car all little things that any one can do for their favorite cause.

By discussing the causes I am interested in on fb. Right now I am trying to help a friend win a grant from pepsico.

I have volunteered for JFL a charity event to raise awareness of breast cancer. I work on the auction committee and gather donation items and help out with the walk and dinner event for the past 11 years.

I talk about things that concern me with those that are close to me.

when there is a cause that I want to promote, I try to talk about it alot and tell as many people as possible.

i don't have a favorite cause

Having had vitiligo since childhood, I'm a walking billboard for the cause. When people make comments or have questions about my skin, I educate them about it.

I spread the word about my fave causes through facebook and twitter..nothing like seeing a video of the problem to wake people up :D Yeah computers!

One of the ways I support it personally is to post stuff on my Twitter & Facebook pages.

I did an Autism Awareness event on my blog that included our story, information about autism, and giveaways. It was fun!

So many ways - blog, twitter, facebook, wear t-shirts and just talk!

I've done some walking for causes so that's a way I can talk with people about causes I believe in

tell people thst I have myasthenia gravis which is a rare neurological disorder and ofte hard to diagnose

My 5 year old son is Autistic and I hold as many fund raisers as possible to help fund research. I also speak at schools to help other students understand just how Autism affects some of their classmates. My son, like so many others are being integrated into the school system and I learned that the more other students understand what Autism is, the less those afflicted with it are laughed at or shy away from.

I just talk about what I'm doing every chance I get. Hopefully people will ask questions, and if they do I'm happy to tell them all about it.
