Great things can be achieved with passion. Those with passion do not let anything stand in their way. Passion can "buy" money. (Think of all the walk-for-this and other type fundraisers.) While money can buy many things, it cannot buy passion.

Passion is everything. What is the point of money if you don't have the passion to make sure it's spent in the right way.

legallyheidi 5 pts

Passion conquers anything. Money can not buy everything but if you're passionate about what you're doing you can conquer anything.

Passion is way more important but the problem is is I have a passion for money!

I think that both are important but I would have to say that passion is the more important of the two. If you are passionate about something, it means something to you. If you just throw money at a cause, it may or may not mean anything to you, it may just be a tax deduction.

But, boy would I like the chance to spread that passion...with just a leetle bit of money ;)

Don't get me wrong - money goes along way in carrying out passion's plans. But with out the vision, drive, and yes, passion, the money is usually just a bandaid, not a long-term solution. You need passion to stay in it for the long haul.

aubross 5 pts

I think they are both important. Really making a difference must have passion behind it. But, to get the reality to happen takes money. Hopefully the passion can motivate the money.

The money would HELP the passion along...........:-)

Passion. Definately. With passion you can find the way to get the money. You can't buy passion.

Passion and Money are what makes each of us individual. We can be passionate about building, creating, sewing, painting, teaching, philanthropy, a specific charity, community work, gardening, reading, writing - the list is endless. However, without the resources and money to focus on our passions, we'd be unable to share what our heart finds important to do in our life.

Ultimately, one or the other is not more important. They are both equally valuable in the overall life we live and what we share with others.

Passion is worthless if not shared and experienced. Money is worthless if it can't be earned. Passion is powerful when shared and given the opportunity to grow and develop. Money is powerful when shared and given the opportunity to help others less fortunate, to build a community, to change the world.

Passion and Money together can change the world when coupled responsibly. There is no "right" answer for this question. Both are equally important in making the other possible. One without the other has little value in making a difference in this world.

Passion can be a conduit to money. If you are passionate about something, it will activate your vibration and you will be succesful. Money will naturally flow towards passion.

but I think their should also be a third choice, intelligence. Because you can want something more than anything in the world, but if you aren't smart, or focused to educated yourself, it will never amount to anything

If you don't have passion I don't think that any problem can be solved. You can get the money from those without the passion and make things happen.

I definitely think passion goes a long way towards getting problems solved, when someone has such a strong feeling in a situation, but then you have to have the $$ to back it up. So a group of really passionate people can help raise money for a huge project and get a lot done!

You gotta have passion. No matter how much money you have, if you have no passion- it will sit in the bank and just draw interest. You gotta have passion to know what to do with it :)

I would agree that Passion makes the difference. My SIL lost a child to cancer 8 years ago. Since then, she has tirelessly worked to put on an annual fundraiser to help other families with children suffering from cancer.

Passion has fueled her spirit. Money is simply the conduit to allowing the fundraiser to continue. I guarantee that no one working within the organization is motived by money!

When I was elected to the board of my local country club a few months ago, I realized that we had a budget of $0 to make changes and bring the club back to financial security. On a shoestring budget, I pulled together a project I believed in and renovated a seldom used bar into an amazingly cool sports bar. Although we paid for some of the work, most of the labor came from volunteers (including myself) and from their passion to see things improve. People have been telling me what a great job I'm doing at the club and we are well on our way to building the volume we need. It's not money that's doing it. It's passion to see change and then the ability to implement. If you've only got money in the process, you can be misguided. Passion shows us the way and gets us to the final destination.

Money is great but it takes people to do the actual things, even if it is just spending the money wisely. People must have the passion to actually get up & do something. Nothing will get accomplished otherwise, even if the money is there.

Passion is necessary; even if we write a check, there is something that inspires us to sign our name on that line, something that makes us think that we can do something.

and if we don't have the funds ourselves, hopefully our passion can convince someone who is not yet aware of a need to have enough passion to sign that check.

As long as you have the basic necessities taken care of (hard to be passionate if you are actually starving or homeless), passion is certainly more important than money. Our church has less money than a corporate lawyer makes in a year, yet (with a core group of only 30 people) this year we will participate and lead projects such as Freeze Project, ShareFest, Ideation!, Laundry Love, One Voice to End Slavery, orphanages in China, and many more. When you want to change the world, the best way is to get your hands dirty. How much of your charitable donation gets lost through corruption and waste? You can make great things happen through your belief that it can happen and your willingness to work personally to make them happen.

Of course, money always helps, but if you are passionate about a cause it will make a big difference in your outcome. How passionate a person is will gain much more attention that money, and then if the money is needed, people will be willing to help you to fulfill your dream for your cause.

You can have less passion if you've got a lot of money, but if you don't have a lot of money, you needs LOTS of passion.

Of course, best case scenario = Lots of Both. :)

Passion absolutely. You can have all the money in the world and lose yourself. If you're passionate about something, it's genuine and your likely to inspire.

Money will run out but true passion never will.

Hmm, that's a tough one. As much as I'd love to say that passion is all you need to get something accomplished in this world, sadly, a little financial influence goes a long way. So I'd have to say both. But in the end, if you don't have the heart to make a project successful, all the money in the world isn't going to make it so.

Passion is crucial, but little can be done to effect real change without monetary support. So my answer would be a healthy dose of passion armed with a fat check book. ;)

100% money and no passion won't get you far, while 100% passion and no money has changed the world many times over. Ideally, I'd say 50% of each is a useful place to to start. ;)

Some from Column A, a little from Column B.

My passion for making a difference in the adoption world hasn't been funded by any name brands. My passion has driven that 100%. However, if I didn't have the funds to pay for my Internet access or, if I couldn't swing that, funds to get to the public library, I wouldn't have the same impact. Then again, my passion might be so strong that I would find a way even when it seemed impossible. It's hard to tell.

All I know is that money itself means NOTHING if you don't have the passion. Having the passion AND some funding is never a bad thing. ;)

People with passion don't need money to make their dreams come true. Many people with money ( I wouldn't know ) have no idea how to accomplish something any other way than by throwing money at it.

With money, one can buy things. With passion, one can do everything else.

I vote passion.

I'll always believe that passion (TRUE passion) is much more important than money when it comes to making a difference. If money is necessary, the people who have it just might be stirred by the passion.

First and foremost? Passion. Absolutely.
