$100 Question Promo Graphic

Welcome to The $100 Question, where fellow BlogHers are asking questions ... and every answer could be worth one hundred dollars!
$100 Question motherbumper
Let's meet today's host: Katie from motherbumper

Katie, aka motherbumper, is one of those sneaky Canadians that has infiltrated the internet airwaves for more years than she cares to count. A former internet specialist at one of those big corporations, she swapped boardrooms for ones with more padding five years ago and has never looked back. These days she is co-founder of The Bad Moms Club, a certified gossip monger at MamaPop, an editor at Kirtsy, hostess of The People's Party at BlogHer '10, and definitely doesn't post enough at her own blog. She figures she'll sleep when she's dead.

Ready to play? Here is The $100 Question for Monday, May 10:

What are your must-see summer films?

Katie's are:

Iron Man 2 [Three words: Robert. Downey. Jr. Need I say more?]
Eclipse [Yes, I'm a Twilight Mom. Stop judging me.]
Toy Story 3 [This selection is a direct result of being a parent. Parenthood: it changes you in ways you'd never imagine or even care to admit.]
George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead [I'm an unapologetic horror movie lover]
The A-Team [Again stop judging me. I could have said MacGruber.]

How to play: Tell Katie your answer to her question in the comments below by 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 to be eligible to win. We'll enter all the comments into a randomizer and choose one lucky commenter to win. Comment as many times as you want. Click here to read the official rules. Good luck!

Want more chances to win?

Please join us tomorrow for Tuesday's question, asked by Angella from Dutch Blitz for another chance to win.

Shrek 4 and Last Airbender are tops on the list. Yes, I've got kids, but I'd want to see them anyway...

We saw Iron Man 2 over the weekend and it was great!

Toy Store 3 is my must see summer movie. Eclipse is on my teen daughters must see list, but thankfully they are old enough I can just drop them off and not watch it myself.

Lisse 5 pts

I am actually looking forward to The Last Airbender. It is one of the few things that my older son watches that I can truly appreciate.

I'll probably also see Shrek, Iron Man 2, and Toy Story, but much depends on how much it rains this summer.

I love! this question.

My list of must-sees looks a little something like this:

1. MACGRUBER! (May 21st, and I cannot wait.)

2. Eclipse (Awwh, yeah. But, seriously, this movie looks like it might be the best of the three, and it definitely looks way better than the third book was.)

3. Killers (So of course it's a totally predictable movie, but Ashton Kutcher shirtless? Yes, please. Also, I'm a Katherine Heigl fan.)

4. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (This one doesn't come out until August but I saw a preview for it before Kick-Ass and it looks hilarious, and awesome.)

I want to see SATC2, Toy Story 3, the new Shrek movie, and anything else that looks like a fun summer comedy. I need to keep up better with what will be playing this summer. Being a mom means I don't get to the movies nearly enough!

My spouse is really (like REALLY) looking forward to seeing Toy Story 3, and since we've yet to catch any of the new 3D films in the theaters, that might be the perfect one to start with.

ccboobooy 5 pts

I saw Iron Man on Mother's Day!

Shrek 3
Prince of Persia

Absolutely Toy Story 3. I have high hopes for that one... and... maybe the Karate Kid, too.

Can't wait to see Iron Man 2. I may even go see it in the theater and not wait for netflix. Crazy I know. Also looking forward to the Lightning Theif. I'm reading it now with my son. It was a "Everyone on the Same Page" pick at our library!

Best,

The Kids Are All Right seems exciting. And Mark Ruffalo is always easy on the eyes.

My choice for the must see summer movie has got to be Shrek 3, my grandkids make these movies so much fun to see. Watching the movie through the eyes of my grandkids is the best fun I can think of. It is only topped by going to the beach with them. Moms and Dads are allowed as long as they remain in 'kid face' the whole trip. What's 'kid face' take their age and add the numbers until they come up with a number between 1 and 12. Me, I just drop my zero to become 6.

The Mr. and I are anxiously waiting to see Iron Man 2 and I have still yet to see the Last Song. We haven't been on a date in years!!

Erin from Long Island 5 pts

is Robin Hood! love his story, and love Russell Crowe!

Iron Man 2...ok, maybe I was more dragged to it then anything else. Regardless, I was not impressed

crousehaus 5 pts

We might get out to see on adult movie and one kid movie, but my list is longer than that.
Iron Man2
Toy Story 3 (whole family wants to see it)
The Last Airbender (My son really wants to see this)
Salt
Shrek 4
I think in the end my husband and I might make it to Iron Man and we'll take the kids to Toy Story. My husband might sneak Last Airbender in there with our son.

emmaw 5 pts

twice a year? So I can't even guarantee I'll see a movie in the cinemas this summer. Date nights are few and the husband and I can rarely agree. I really want to see Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (starring the city of Toronto). I'd probably have to go on my own for that one.

carogonza 5 pts

Iron Man 2 and I am dying to Survival of the dead too. I love love love horror films!

sprittibee 5 pts

What's a movie? No, really... I get them on video later. I would love to see another Borne Identity (if only), and the kids are whining about seeing The Hobbit - whenever that will come out.

I'd be glad to just get a few 4+ rentals from Netflix and trick the husband in to watching them (can you say CHICK FLICK?).

amiedanny 5 pts

Shrek Ever After
Eclipse
Toy Story 3

And honestly that's it for me. Have you SEEN the price of movie tickets lately?? It's ridiculous!

klpm 5 pts

I'm going with Inception now that I've seen a preview. It looks something like Dark City which is one of my favorites.

My kid would say Toy Story 3 and the husband is excited about The A-Team!

Summer is kinda crappy for movies, but I'm interested in seeing Waiting for Superman, a doc about public education, and Holy Rollers.

Run ANC 5 pts

Well, me and the boys (who are really to young to have watched it) think that the Iron Man 2 trailer is way cool. And since Robert Downey Jr IS my other husband, I'd better go see it.

Having a 5 yr old we will be at Toy Story 3 but I'd see that even if I wasn't a parent.

Being a child of the '80s I'm a sucker for classic movie redos so I'll be checking out the A-Team and Karate Kid. I'm pretty sure they won't be as good as the originals but oh well.
