good question

June 24, 2010 - 1:10pm

When my husband and I were dating in college, we had an argument right before a holiday weekend. That Sunday night he called me to tell me that he'd broken his wrist snowboarding, and whatever argument we had was forgotten. I sped over to his dorm late that night to make sure he was okay.

When I was younger I wrote

June 24, 2010 - 1:29pm

When I was younger I wrote love letters to guys I barely knew and mailed them.

easy

June 24, 2010 - 2:00pm

I moved to another city. Some might not think it's crazy but I'm in love with my hometown and love my family - the only way I'd be away from home was to be with my new husband. Luckily, we moved back. :)

How about the dumbest?

June 24, 2010 - 2:01pm

Hopped a plane to spend 2 weeks in Europe with a guy I was in love with who had clearly already moved on.

Love can mean many things

June 24, 2010 - 2:22pm

For two straight weeks I drove a truck that got 10 mpg 60 miles each way from my best friends house to my work so that I could watch her kids every evening while she spent time with her dying father.

Mainly because SHE once braved the wrath of a controlling husband to rescue me from a homeless shelter. I stayed with her, her two small children and said control freak in a (no lie) 600 square foot trailer while my broken arm healed. For two long, long months.

Went to his parents house

June 24, 2010 - 2:23pm

looking for him. Obviously I was young and it was my first love.

Quit my job

June 24, 2010 - 3:06pm

This is so embarassing. I quit my job because this guy I was dating was convinced I was seeing a coworker. How could I have been so dense?

I married my husband while I

June 24, 2010 - 3:13pm

I married my husband while I was still in H.S. (I was a senior) in a courthouse ceremony so that his enlistment paperwork would go through with him married. To this day no one in the family knows we were married six months before our "wedding".

hmm

June 24, 2010 - 3:45pm

believed what he said w/o checking it out

Poem

June 24, 2010 - 3:50pm

I am not a writer but I wrote a poem.

I've done some dumb

June 24, 2010 - 3:57pm

I've done some dumb stuff...but nothing too crazy. I guess the long distance relationship (which led to my marriage) was the craziest....we traveled back and forth each weekend for over a year to see each other.

Bad sign

June 24, 2010 - 4:30pm

For a number of months, I drove an old boyfriend to work every night at 3:00am in the morning. He was a baker and lost his drivers license (I should have taken this as a sign right there, lol).
Thanks so much.

leaving my Mom

June 24, 2010 - 4:58pm

I met my significant other when I was 17. Fell head over heels in love with him, Mom was not happy "your too young, I'd rather you not see him exclusively" I got mad and moved out of my house while Mom was at work and in with my boyfriend. She was not happy, but we worked it out after a month or so and she fell in love with him like I did. 30 years later and we are still together.

I once biked over 200 miles

June 24, 2010 - 5:07pm

I once biked over 200 miles to see my boyfriend!

Crazy love.

June 24, 2010 - 5:18pm

The craziest thing I ever did for love was to get married...what was I thinking?! :-)

Thank you.

the craziest thing I've done for love

June 24, 2010 - 5:36pm

I met my husband at the door in my birthday suit to let him know how much I missed him.

June 24, 2010 - 5:37pm

I was born in a city and had no desire to spend time in the country. When I met and fell in love with a man, wouldn't you know it he loved camping and all things far from civilization. I went along and on our first camping trip got a big bloodsucker on my toe when I went swimming and also saw a snake eating a frog. Ack! Double ack! We are still together (the man and I, not the bloodsucker) forty years later.

June 24, 2010 - 5:37pm

Made a video to win a recording session for my husband (who writes music) - it won, but he never used the time because he said he couldn't get the people together to sing and play for it :(

Doh!

June 24, 2010 - 5:44pm

I moved to Cuba.

Oh, too easy

June 24, 2010 - 6:16pm

I paid all of his bills plus my own apt rent when he was fired for sexual harassment. Which, of course, you know, he was *totally* innocent of.

Eye roll, eye roll.

I was an idiot.

Craziest thing I've ever done for love...

June 24, 2010 - 6:25pm

...is go into debt for someone who wasn't worth it. Left me high and dry with the bills. :(

Craziest thing?

June 24, 2010 - 6:45pm

I married him.

I was young...

June 24, 2010 - 6:47pm

I was young and incredibly naive.... that's my excuse...

...he was at a bachelor's party and of course, I couldn't go to it. We were at that silly age where we wanted to spend every waking minute with each other... so, I stayed home and while missing him, I took a needle and thread, and a bottle of ink, and tattooed his initials on my arm. This, of course, took place long before getting a tattoo, especially for girls, became a trendy thing to do, like it is now.

Needless to say, we aren't together now, but his initials are still there!

June 24, 2010 - 7:03pm

I jumped in a cold pond for a swim to show him how cool I was! A nice memory. We have been married for 15 years now!

June 24, 2010 - 7:55pm

I wouldn't exactly call it stalking, per se...just hanging around enough to know i was a keeper.

June 24, 2010 - 8:18pm

dated him and married him as a poor grad student...

June 24, 2010 - 8:32pm

I moved from Michigan to New Mexico when I married my hubby because this is where he's from. I hated it for the first 2 years, but now I'm SO glad I moved here!

Gave up vegetarianism

June 24, 2010 - 8:58pm

I thought for sure I liked this guy more than I liked being a vegetarian, so when he suggested sushi I decided to suck it up and go.

Not only was he not worth it, I gagged at dinner! Not like the hungry stomach growling you hope no one notices - I audibly gagged on an eel roll.

I eat meat now, but I'm not going anywhere near sushi.

craziest thing I did for love

June 24, 2010 - 9:15pm

I married him after knowing him for 6 weeks, that was 18 years ago and I woud do it again!!!

I punched my father

June 25, 2010 - 2:24am

...in the face when he called the guy whom I have been in love with for the last five years and am now engaged to a "pu--y" for failing to ask my father for my hand in marriage. HA! He's one to talk... he ran off to Mexico with my mother at the age of 17 to get married... and then left her 18 months later. In all reality, he probably deserves a lot more punishment than the load of blood & mucus soaked laundry that I left him with, but he's a pretty big guy which leads people to believe he's tough. To me though, a man who beats up on women (PREGNANT women, no less) is anything but tough. Besides, any 200 pound guy who cries when his fed up, 5'4" 18 year old daughter punches him in the face has no room to be calling the one man in her life who does love, cherish, and protect her a pu--y.
