The most important lessons I've learned were from childhood shows on PBS: Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, Reading Rainbow, etc...

They taught me how to spell, inspired me to read and explore not only my neighborhood but the world outside of it!

Haha! The most important thing I learned from TV isn't really from TV rather from my dad who used to always say, "TV makes you stupid!". ;)

The most important thing I learned from TV is that, if it's on ESPN, men will watch it! Why on earth would somebody actually want to watch hermit crab racinig?!

I have some good things from watching TV such as how to prepare yummy foods, what's going on in the world around me and about other countries and other cultures.

But I've also learned that there are some amazingly trashy people that will do anything to be on TV and don't care how they act or are perceived by others.

What I have learned is that all you see is Reality TV Shows... they should think of something else. I'm glad I have Netflix.

I learned that other than the news there is little of value on TV unless you get additional channels thru cable, disk, etc.

Leenburke 5 pts

The most important thing I learned from tv is that all of life's problems can be solved in 30 minutes. If for some reason it can't be solved in that time, than a one hour "special episode" should do the trick :-)

Nothing is real - not even reality shows.

I think we all learned that "TV is make-believe" at an early age. But the recent explosion of reality shows, and those who believe in them, seem to have caused many to forget that important message.

fredbg_anita 5 pts

The most important thing I learned from TV is that to restrict my viewing time to quality information because there is so much garbage on the airwaves.
