Welcome to The $100 Question, where fellow BlogHers are asking questions ... and every answer could be worth one hundred dollars!

Let's meet today's host: Shari from Whisk : A Food Blog
I’m an avid foodie based in Ottawa, Canada. Every aspect of food is interesting to me, from researching the origins of a dish, to making it at home, writing about it, tasting it, and finally capturing its beauty in a photograph. I started blogging in January of 2008 to document my lifelong dream of attending culinary school. I started working through a cooking school curriculum using the cookbook Le Cordon Bleu at Home. The ‘lessons’ are based on the curriculum of the famous culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu and can be found online for use at home.In September 2009 I enrolled in Basic Cuisine at Le Cordon Bleu, Ottawa. It was literally a dream come true. I graduated from Basic Cuisine in November 2009. Around the same time I became the weekly food and wine columnist for Metro Ottawa newspaper, which gives me yet another reason to explore new gastronomic adventures.

Ready to play? Here is The $100 Question for Friday, July 2:
I am a spontaneous, adventure loving person who loves to travel. Last week, I opted for a crazy getaway to renew my energy and invigorate my spirits. I flew to Paris, France for a long weekend where I tasted the greatest ice cream in the world, gazed at original paintings by Van Gogh and Monet and sipped wine at an outdoor café by the Seine. It renewed my soul.
So, what location in the world does (or would) renew your spirit and invigorate your soul?
