I think the majority would go with skinny jeans and a bling top, but the big take-away is to wear what you feel comfortable in! I'm also loving all the suggestions for accessories -- thanks everyone! I no longer fear being singled out from the crowd to appear in an episode of "What Not to Wear".

I'm going with the trendy cocktail dress. Wear bling shoes that are easy to stand in, since you might be standing up and sitting down several times that evening. Hair up and fancy, with long earrings. Glitter your shoulders.

I would wear a great black halter top the accentuates your shoulders, white skirt with black flowers and a fabulous pair of black heels with lots of bling and big earrings and bracelets.

You can never go wrong with dark jeans, a nice solid top and bling it up with accessories and makeup.

I think, for sitting in the seats, jeans and a bling top makes the most sense. It's a pain in the neck to wear a cocktail dress and then sit in the seat the whole time.

But don't forget the fab shoes! You need those, too.

I think it should be the classic little black dress. You can't go wrong with that!

Let's be comfortable and just settle down with our pj's.

From what you listed, I think that either the classic black dress or the black skinny jeans with a bling top would be a good choice. Don't feel like you have to limit yourself to black, though, especially if there are colors that look really good on you.

Don't wear shoes that will hurt after a couple of hours or ones with much of a heel. How about some silver or gold ballet slippers?

I think the jeans & bling top would be fun to wear as someone said that LA is that kind of town.

It's always best to wear what you feel comfortable in--so you can have confidence--but if you're equally comfortable in all 3 outfits--I would go with the skinny jeans and bling top---you will be jumping up & down and sitting-standing-sitting-standing---and it probably goes on for hours--best to go with the skinny jeans & bling top.

I have no fashion sense whatsoever so don't take my word for it. I think it would be fun to wear a great cocktail dress. Thanks for the contest.

I have actually BEEN to the idol finale and its a big mix of styles. Trendy "dressy casual" would be perfect and the little black dress will make sure you are not too over or under dressed. ;)

You could totally get away with a nice pair of dark skinny jeans and a trendy top. No words on it of course. Totally up to you!

It wouldn't hurt to have some bling on the jeans as well at the top. Go all out and have fun.
