$100 Question Legally Heidi
Let's meet today's host: Heidi from Legally Heidi

Constantly on the brink of the quarter-life crisis, suffering from the withdrawl of a life long caffeine addiction. A reader. A dog owner. Shopaholic. Wife. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Runner. Aspiring Yogi. New England girl born and bred. Heidi grew up in the hills of Vermont on the shores of Lake Champlain. She busted out in 2001 to attend college in Boston and graduated in May 2006 with a B.S in Political Science. In June 2006, she said adios to New England and headed south to the Mid Atlantic making her way to Washington, DC where she lived in Arlington, VA for a year and later on Capitol Hill with "hubs" and their incorrigible beagle mix, Ellie. At the end of 2009, after getting married and surviving a devastating period of unemployment they packed everything up and moved north to Fairfield County, CT where they currently live, work and play. Her blog is a place where she muses over the pursuit of happiness in your twenties while seeking and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You can read her blog over at http://legallyheidi.com and follow her on twitter - @missheidi

I stay balanced by trying to have some "me" time when I'm in the shower with my favorite scented bath & body items that I am totally addicted to. I take comfort in scents that are mind enhancing and make me feel good.

When I start falling to the left I lean right, and lean left as I start falling right. Worked well for me all my life, at least since I was able to walk.

There is no balance in my life.

Any semblance of balance comes from an instinctual knowing that one needs a little work, a little play, a little rest, and a space to allow for 'something' going wrong, because in everyone's life there is always that "something"...

The most important thing to me, is to have time to think about things... to contemplate, and a peaceful place to do this... even if it's just in the tub.

For me it's a lot of little things. Some I don't do everyday. I like to get up early enough to have my first cup of coffee before the rest of the family is out of bed. I try to have make sure I have everything organized that I will need for the day. To me having some what of a plan is better than no plan.
Other little things I do is have a small piece of chocolate everyday. I also have a cup of hot tea after supper.
