I think I'm going to go with this one, because the title is my all-time favorite, and it makes me laugh.

My "perfect" post is one I published at Bodies in Motivation about accepting myself.

I'm not sure if it's my best, but I do like this one. It's honest, straight-forward and I'm not trying too hard.

I had to pop over when I saw the "Perfect Post". When Lindsay and I ran The Perfect Post Awards ( http://www.petroville.com/the-library/ ) for a few years online, we were lucky enough to read and connect with some truly amazing writers.

My perfect post, I guess, would be
http://www.petroville.com/2006/06/12/and-i-thought...

Although, who the heck knows. I'm so NOT perfect :)

I use to write a humor blog and it was full of the funniest shit you ever read. But I deleted it. I needed to get in touch with my feelings and all. So now I write sappy shit. The best so far would have to be this gem
http://laboriousliving.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/th... ( http://laboriousliving.wordpress.com/2010/04/28/th... )

and that's just me getting warmed up...

is one that I deleted---it was too personal to reveal. It was written after my grandmother passed. She was an exceptional person, who helped to raise me. She was very strict and tough on my mother, but by the time I came along she had softened up considerably. I don't know if it was because she regretted being so hard on my mom and her siblings, but she was very nurturing to me. The post was about how she taught me how to cook.

Yes I did write a very lovely post about the President. What of it?

My first blog post published in February of 2008. If there was any way I would want to be remembered, I think this pretty much encapsulates it:

Mary a/k/a BarnMaven blogs at http://www.barnmaven.typepad.com about single parenting, living with ADHD, too many animals to count and dealing with ADHD/Bipolar kids.

Here's my favorite blog post: http://halfasmanychances.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-l... I really like when writing a blog post helps me understand more about myself, and this one definitely did.

This is my favorite - because I needed to say it most - and had been waiting to for years and years. Then, one day, I could and did. It was like magic and the sky didn't fall & I didn't fall into a trap door in the floor.

It started out as just another radio playlist, but ever since posting I've been proud of how this one turned out:

I don't consider myself a writer, but I do have a blog to keep track of things in our lives and update far away family. My favorite post was written in memory of someone very special to me who passed away: http://havingitall-maggie.blogspot.com/2008/04/mar...

My favorite post is also the saddest, hardest post I've ever written. I wrote it a few days after my daughter's miscarriage.

http://lindabelle.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/mama-th... ( http://lindabelle.wordpress.com/2008/04/21/mama-th... )

I still cry when I read it, especially now that everything in life has changed so much.

Which reminds me ... I really do need to update more often.

There's not a whole lot I'm exactly "proud" of having written, but this post about the journey I'm about to embark on is as close to my heart as anything.

As my (loving) brother said, "It was nice to see the non-hardass side of you, sis!"

I'm taking that as a compliment.

We mainly write about food, women in our crazy family, and post my favorite pictures. My favorite post is really about none of those.

I would have say it is the one that explains why we work for child abuse prevention and awareness. It also has some pictures of my 10 year old daughter at her book signing!

While I'm proud of many posts, there is one clear winner...

Motherhood: My Other Resume
http://lifeandtimesofstella.com/2009/02/22/my-othe...

Because it's empowering, humorous, and thoughtful. And because really, my most kick-ass accomplishments, not to mention the hardest work I've ever done, will never wind up on my "real" resume, which is a shame!

Thanks.

There are so many niche blogs in blogland & mine is no exception, so since I write a lot about decorating on a budget & personalizing your home without breaking the bank, this is one of my best posts that got a lot of comments. Finding your Style.

http://southernhospitalityblog.com/finding-your-st... ( http://southernhospitalityblog.com/finding-your-st... )

It seemed to resonate with many on how to find your style without getting caught up in trends or what is popular in the blogosphere.

The Mother Tongue 5 pts

My favorite post is about when I went to get my first mammogram at age 26, dragging the emotional baggage from my mother's breast cancer alllll the way. Yeah, it's the laugh-out-loud hit of the year. (Note: not really.)

One mammogram please, extra lipstick on the side

I wrote this post for my son's first birthday. I'm so glad I did because there is no way I could remember all those things about him so perfectly.

Sigh. Time really does fly.

This post: http://onecraftywriter.wordpress.com/2008/05/18/on...

I wrote it at the height of my writing days, right as I was finishing my master's thesis (a collection of creative non-fiction essays), and it reminds me of the beguiling, calm tone my writing used to have. And might still have if I practiced more. Plus, today, it rings especially poignant, as my father leaves tomorrow for a tour in Iraq as a hospital commander. Good luck, Dad.

JennaHatfield 11 pts

Good question. Especially since you brought up the issue of post or photograph. I mean, I'm a writer and a photographer. How do I choose? Which is more me? It depends on the day. I identify so much with both aspects of myself. Which, of course, brings me to this post ( http://stopdropandblog.com/2010/04/21/the-nonlamen... ) entitled "The (Non)Lament of the Mommy Photographer."

To quote myself:

"I’m the one who took the picture. I’m the one who ran back inside to get the camera. I’m the one who encouraged them to keep blowing bubbles. I’m the one who sat on the deck for twenty minutes, endlessly snapping pictures of bubble blowing in hopes of getting that one shot, that perfect shot. That memory to last a lifetime."

And the picture with that post? Is quite possibly my favorite ever. It's not my best writing ever. But it's me. It's find-that-silver-lining, positive-thinking, family-first, yes-I-wear-yoga-pants-and-shun-shoes. It's me.

(Then again, this is my best writing. Ever.) ( http://thechroniclesofmunchkinland.com/2009/08/27/... )

Jenna Hatfield (@FireMom ( http://twitter.com/FireMom )), from Stop, Drop and Blog ( http://stopdropandblog.com ) and The Chronicles of Munchkin Land ( http://thechroniclesofmunchkinland.com ), is a freelance writer and newspaper photographer.

Hmmm... probably this blog post, providing the world with the answer to that age-old question:

"Where the heck are my keys!?!"

http://firewifekatie.blogspot.com/2010/04/unfortun...

It's my gift to the world. ;)

Well, this is tough, but I think in terms of hindsight and reflection and being able to pinpoint when my life changed forever, I'd pick this letter I wrote to my son, two days before he was born: http://www.shelikespurple.com/shelikespurple/2009/... I wrote it while he was kicking crazily inside me and when I re-read it, I can almost feel those kicks.
