When I put in an application to be an Annapolis ZOOMA Ambassador, I had no idea that I would be picked.
I jumped for joy, ran around the house screaming and then came to the realization that it’s a 10k..and I have never ran a 10k before.
Fear is not an option in my book. It’s just not. As long as the goal is attainable and realistic, I can tackle any fears I may have to run this distance. (You can too!)
To help push me, I signed up for a 10k training through one of our local companies.
I need to know that I can do it.
Tip: Call your friend and ask her to sign up too. For sure, if she has the commitment, so will you.
Day 1: Today we met the group, did some stretches then out the door we jogged. The goal was to run 3-4 miles.
Half a mile in our run, my girlfriend stepped on an ice ball and tumbled down hurting her ankle. Not a very good start.
She absolutely amazed me. She got back up and we did some jogging/walking the rest of the way.
YOU GO GIRL.
We totaled in our distance roughly around 2 – 2.5 miles. (I hate when I forget my watch!) And successfully completed the route.
