Kalyn Denny

Kalyn Denny certainly never imagined that blogging would be a life-changing adventure when she started Kalyn's Kitchen in early 2005 as a place to store her low-glycemic recipes online. Now she's retired from her job as a third grade teacher and spends most days cooking, photographing, and posting the simple-but-interesting recipes using fresh ingredients that have made Kalyn's Kitchen so popular. Kalyn also writes a feature called Weekend Menu Planning at BlogHer.com, and she's proud to be one of BlogHer's original contributing editors as well as a founding member of the BlogHerAds network.

Kalyn's favorites are these flourless, low-sugar chocolate shortbread cookies. Made with almond meal and Splenda, they're not just her own favorite -- they were also featured on Oprah's website last year.

Seriously, I just thought it looked good and it was time to start cooking with it. Now I know what to make first! Thanks, Kalyn!

I have someone who is always asking me to make cookies with Splenda so this comes at a perfect time. Thank you!
