Dawn Viola is a professional recipe developer, food writer, private chef, and the voice behind the award-winning food blog, Wicked Good Dinner. She has appeared on Food Network, Martha Stewart Radio, Cooking with Emeril, and is a regular contributor to several food publications, providing recipes and cooking tips for everyone from culinary professionals to busy moms. A busy mom herself, Dawn lives in Central Florida with her favorite taste-testers, her husband, Michael, and their 10-year old daughter.
Dawn's favorite cookies are chocolate peppermint whoopie pies. She says, "Whoopie pies are one of our family favorite treats, and when paired with cool peppermint, it's perfect for the holidays."
I have to say, those are some pretty wicked good-looking whoopies. (I am not calling them "pies" as I am still not recuperated from last month.) And I love the facts about, er, whoopies and cocoa and baking powder she includes with the recipe.
