I wouldn't say I'm a chocolate freak (though I wouldn't kick it off my pillow), but there is one time of year when I'm a total sucker for it: Valentine's Day. Every year for at least the past 15, during single times and couple times and "we don't like labels" times and all the times in between, I've made something chocolate on February 14.
There was the year I bought a huge tacky heart-shaped box, ditched the waxy chocolates inside, and filled it with homemade truffles. The year I decided I was going to master the chocolate soufflé -- and did, though I was sure it was going to be a horror story in the making. The year I couldn't figure out what it was my time-consuming chocolate pots de crème tasted exactly like, until I served them to my date: Cocoa Krispies. And oceans of fondue. That happens when you get three fondue pots and a fondue fountain for your wedding. (And are over the moon about it.)
So here's my Valentine's Day present to you: Every day from February 1-14, food bloggers in the BlogHer Publishing Network are sharing their very favorite chocolate recipes.

There's nothing sweeter than a luscious new chocolate recipe to try out in February, and we have a huge, not-so-tacky heart-shaped box of them for you -- from chocolate gravy (!) to fondue, cookies, sauce and cake. I drooled more than once looking at the pictures; this is not hyperbole.
Don't miss a recipe: Follow the entire series and sign up for BlogHer's Treats of the Season food newsletter to get each chocolate treat in your inbox!
