The 2 Keys to Weight Loss

The 2 Keys to Weight Loss are: Routine and Discipline.

Routine involves eating some of the same foods at certain times of the day. When changing your behavior, you want to eliminate unnecessary decision-making. If you eat certain foods (e.g., yogurt for breakfast) every day, you will have fewer decisions to make and therefore less stress. Exercise should be a routine as well. It should occur at the same time each day in the same place (gym, walking trail, etc.). It needs to be scheduled like a dentist appointment and there is NO negotiating with yourself about changing the appointment.

Discipline involves doing what you KNOW you need to do EVEN when you don’t feel like it. This means that you go to the gym even when it’s pouring rain, and you pack your lunch the night before work even though there are 100 other things that you would prefer to do.

Fitness is something that you must attain AND maintain.  There are NO secrets when it comes to weight loss.
