$25 Pampered Chef Gift Certificate Give Away

When I first met my husband, Marc, I wasn’t the healthiest eater in the world.  I wasn’t terrible, but there was definitely room for improvement.  I never checked the ingredients in what I purchased.  I ate my fair share of junk and fast food without a second thought.  However, over time, his good habits rubbed off on me, and for the most part, I eat very healthy now. But, don’t get me wrong, I am still far from perfect.  I have to have my semi-annual (ok, quarterly) Mickey D’s fixes, and if there is chocolate in my office, I always have to have a piece (or two, or well, you get the point).

Marc is better than me.  But, part of the reason he is so successful is if there is “bad” stuff around, he makes sure to get rid of it to avoid temptation.  So, when we received a Godiva gift basket for Christmas, I was sure that Marc’s first reaction for us to each take half to our respective offices, thus leaving nothing in the house.

Wow, I couldn’t have been more wrong!  He shocked me when he suggested that I take all the boxes and bars and chop them up to use in chocolate chip cookies. I took my regular recipe and added all this chocolate, plus some regular chips for good measure.  It was sheer genius!  The resulting cookies were not only chocolaty, but each and everyone had a slight different taste depending on which chocolate piece was featured.  In one word, YUM!

Marc and I pretty much need sugar detox right about now, although there are still a few cookies left! So we are trying to balance out all of our sugar intake with some healthy fare.  One wonderful place we have found to find healthy and delicious recipes and ideas is my friend Jen's Cook S’More Facebook Fan Page.  This site is amazing!  Their goal is to get more families cooking and eating healthy together. In the last week alone, they have featured recipes for healthy mac and cheese as well as a delicious fifteen minute fajita.  They also have wonderful products for sale on their website!

Speaking of their website, they have generously sponsored a contest for you to win a $25 Pampered Chef gift certificate.  Click here to enter
