Nowadays, people are stressed for a multitude of reasons and don't always know how to deal with it. We have so much going on in our busy lives that we seldom take the time to relax and think about our health. We want the quick fix, but the miracle cure isn't always available.
Busy schedules, deadlines, performance anxiety at school or at work, etc., these are some of the things we have to face each day. As you probably know, there are good and bad stress. Good stress is essential and help us adapt to different situations. On the other hand, bad stress is the enemy to beat. Bad stress can build up inside us to become more and more difficult to bear.
At one point, we can't cope with the pressure, our body can take it anymore and we begin to experience symptoms of stress. Stress can make terrible damage to your health and keep you from living life to the fullest. Here are some of the many symptoms of high levels of stress :
- Sensation of lump in throat or stomach
- Chest pain
- Trouble sleeping
- Digestive problems
- Eating too much or not enough
- Nervous habits (biting nails, pacing, fidgeting, twitching, etc.)
- Problem concentrating
- Mood swings
- and many more ...
That's why I find this infographic below, created by HealthCentral, to be an interesting tool to help you lower your stress level. At the same time, it can give you the opportunity to learn about plants and herbs. Naturally, there are other methods you can use to deal with your stress like exercise regularly, relaxation techniques, plenty of sleep, a healthy diet, etc., but these herbal remedies certainly won't hurt.
