BlogHer Book Club Reviewer Badge

BlogHer is thrilled to be collaborating with Penguin Group USA to bring you reviews of great upcoming books, author interviews, book discussions and much more! They’re all part of our new BlogHer Book Club. What's exciting about this partnership: BlogHer is paying writers to write balanced, editorial reviews of the BlogHer Book Club featured titles. Here's how it works.

Reviewers

Book Club Host Karen Ballum will recruit reviewers from our list of excellent writers. Each reviewer will receive a copy of the book and be paid to write and publish her editorial opinion of the book here for community discussion. We're excited about the diversity of opinions and perspectives we can bring to Penguin's list -- and we'll keep talking about other publisher titles, of course, in our ongoing BlogHer Book Chat group. Stay tuned for information on how to join our reviewer program.

Books

We firmly believe that there is a perfect book out there for everyone. BlogHer and Penguin are working together to select two books a month that will speak to you, our community. We'll be featuring both fiction and non-fiction titles on a variety of topics – perfect to give you insight into authors you love and new voices to discover.

Authors

We’re working with Penguin to bring you exclusive, original content from our featured authors. We'll be sharing essays, interviews and even video interviews with the voices behind the books. Start jotting down your questions as you read and join the conversation!

I love that this is on here. I've been feeling very nostalgic about books lately...has anyone else been feeling like this:

Just curious if it's just me.

Reading is a passion of mine, so this looks exciting.

I'd love to get involved as a reviewer. And, since I am a Penguin author, may I submit my book, 'The Power of Receiving: A Revolutionary Approach to Giving Yourself the Life You Want and Deserve' for consideration?
I see that others are including their sites in these comments. I hope you don't mind if I do as well!

I write fiction myself, and I can't think of a better route to mind/art expansion than to be part of this reviewer program.

What could possibly be finer than reading for fun and profit simultaneously?

I'm there!

I am sure that it will lead to lots of book recommendations and bookish talk. :)It also adds something a bit fresh to the blogging world.

Love that comparison. I tend to have two books on the go most of the time. Usually one upstairs, one downstairs. I usually bounce back and forth between fiction and non-fiction too.

Well, not so much the scheduling as much as when I read a book I want to talk about it right then, not have to wait until book club day. Online people can go at their own pace. :)

Excellent way to describe a relationship with books. Some of my relationships with books definitely fall into the tawdry one-night stand department though. ;-)

Alexandra  ( http://www.gooddayregularpeople.com/ ) keeps a humor blog, Good Day, Regular People.com ( http://www.gooddayregularpeople.com/ ), where she writes of small town life, raising 3 boys.

This is such a perfect launch for BlogHer.

What writer doesn't love to read?

My husband jokes that I go through books like popcorn, always reading at least 2 at at time. One on the nightstand, one in the car.

Count me in, please! I'll watch BlogHer for updates.

I think this is an awesome program! I don't have time to join a traditional book club due to working full time and being a single mother, but BlogHer's club is perfect!

Mixing two of my favorite passions, blogging and reading, is the best thing since mixing chocolate with peanut better. (And that's saying something!)

I would be interested in reviewing books. I am a Canadian (but born in Latin America) and would I love to give you a unique perspective. I belonged to the same book club for over 10 years and have joined a new one last year. I love books: reading them, talking about them, reviewing them. Please let me know how I can get involved.
