Alison Lewis is a nationally known Recipe Developer, Cookbook Author, Television & Media Food Spokesperson and Consultant, Mom Food and Fitness Blogger, Food Educator, Nutritionist, and President and Owner of Ingredients, Inc., a Food Consulting company in Birmingham, Alabama since 2001. She is known for creating healthy, family-friendly recipes that are easy to prepare on her food and lifestyle blog, http://ingredientsinc.net. Her first cookbook, "400 Best Sandwich Recipes: From Classics & Burgers to Wraps & Condiments: was released April 2011, and it will be sold internationally by Robert Rose Books.
Alison's work has appeared in magazines such as Southern Living, Cooking Light, Better Homes and Gardens, Oxygen, Clean Eating Magazine, Diabetic Living, Yum Food and Birmingham magazine. She also represents a long list of food clients. Alison completed Professional Media Training from the Lisa Ekus Group in 2008, and she has a wealth of television cooking experience, appearing regularly on television in Birmingham and on regional television stations in the south.
Previously, Alison was an Editor on the Food Staff at Southern Living Magazine and Oxmoor House Books for 7 years after completing degrees in Marketing, Advertising and Nutrition. She attended culinary classes at The Culinary Institute in New York and Greystone and The Institute of Culinary Education in New York. A mother of three children and avid runner, Alison enjoys yoga and spending time with her family in her free time.
