America's Next Top Designer?

It’s sew time! My favorite reality series, “Project Runway” is back for Season 4 on Bravo TV. How surprised was I when I sat down to watch the season premier of the high drama, high stakes and sometimes low talent show and see a familiar face-that face belonging to Rami Kashou? www.myspace.com/ramikashou. Not much really. I always knew he was a hidden design star in the making. After all, he did design my wedding dress. I hunted him down from a picture I saw in a trade magazine of a model draped in a silk jersey dress that cascaded over just the right amount of curves, leaving something to the viewer’s imagination; subtle, yet oh so sexy.

Rami has dressed celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Tyra Banks, Penelope Cruz and Lucy Lui. His designs can be found at high end boutiques with high ticket prices, but I must say I got my wedding dress at a steal and I absolutely loved it. I actually plan to cut it knee length and wear it again! His clothing really flatters the female form, and can do wonders for those with less than ample hips and bosoms by creating volume in areas that need it most with loose pleating and slenderizing those extra curvy areas with sleek, smooth cascades of fabric. His look is easy, flirty and feminine with a hint of retro movie-star glam. He’s already won the first competition-so continue to make it work Rami-I’m rooting for you!
