Aisha Tyler Will Emcee the Voices of the Year at #BlogHer16!

BlogHer Original Post

Last week, I did my usual teasing on my social platforms, because I knew we were about to announce something #geektastic. Something to give you a #nerdgasm. Something that would let you know that #Blerds are representing at #BlogHer16 this summer in L.A.

And now it can be told: Aisha Tyler — comedian, gamer, actor, author, podcaster, director, activist, and entrepreneur — will emcee the #BlogHer16 Voices of the Year ceremony!

Aisha Tyler emcees Voices of the Year at #BlogHer16

On the afternoon of August 5, Aisha will take the stage to help us honor the most inspiring voices and innovative content creators across the Internet. The Voices of the Year, now in its ninth year, is a beloved fixture at the annual #BlogHer conferences, and its emotional centerpiece. (We'll be announcing the 2016 Voices of the Year next week, so stay tuned.)

Aisha's multi-hyphenate list of accomplishments is epic and appropriate for someone bringing our diverse Voices of the Year to the stage:

  • Co-host of CBS' Emmy-winning daytime show, "The Talk"
  • The voice of Lana on FX’s edgy animated comedy, "Archer"
  • A regular on the long-running "Criminal Minds" series
  • Host of the CW's wildly successful improv show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
  • Creator, producer and host of the hit podcast "Girl on Guy," with a reach of 30 million-plus users
  • New York Times best-selling author
  • Vocal activist on behalf of many causes, including LGBT rights
  • Gamer and game voice-artist
  • Director
  • The list goes on and on..
