Announcing Another BlogHer '13 Keynote: The New Breed of Makers & Creators
Today we are announcing another great keynote session at BlogHer '13.
Majora Carter, Lisa Donovan, Brit Morin, and Randi Zuckerberg have started companies and non-profits. They have built business models where others had (and still have) trouble seeing the path. They have their hands in creating content online, on TV, and in the palm of your hand. Their videos have been viewed by millions. They have democratized political discourse and civic decision-making. They have collaborated with major media, but have continued forging their independent way. Individually they are impressive women at the peak of their careers.
Collectively, they represent what BlogHer attendees have always represented and will cover a topic with which BlogHer's attendees will be intimately familiar as pioneers themselves: The New Breed of Makers & Creators.
I think Lisa, Jory and I said it best it in our press release:
“Majora, Lisa, Brit, and Randi embody a movement; they are the new makers and creators, effecting personal, professional, and political change via their online platforms,” said Elisa Camahort Page, Jory Des Jardins and Lisa Stone, BlogHer co-founders. “We hope to galvanize every BlogHer in the room to build her own personal roadmap that incorporates passion, purpose, and potentially profit into their own authentic model for success.”
