We’re here with the BlogHer '12 Party Announcement!

It seems like just yesterday we were in San Diego learning and playing, time does go by fast but before we take too much time thinking of the past I want to guide you to the future -- BlogHer ’12 Community Parties and More!

Following with recent tradition these Community Parties (official BlogHer parties) will take place at the Hilton New York and once again, will be OPEN to BlogHer attendees with a badge.

Without further ado: The BlogHer '12 Official Party Plan:

Thursday, Friday and Saturday

Serenity SuiteOnce again we are bringing you a space to relax, unwind and take a little breather from the hub-bub of the conference. Maggie, Heather and a team of caring bloggers will be there to greet you in our Serenity Suite. It will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday and during parties if you want to take a break from the action! For more information, check out our announcement.

Thursday, August 2th:

Evening at the ExpoEvening at the Expo, 6-8PM: Last year Evening at the Expo exceeded all expectations! We knew you wanted to connect with our sponsors in a more focused environment but wow, we didn't know you would be waiting at the door chomping at the bit for 6 p.m. -- but you were! So, we're bringing it back! No conflicts, no decisions, you will have two hours of uninterrupted time to check out the latest and greatest from our sponsors... without whom, as I know you all know, this conference and our low ticket prices would simply not be possible. The party at BlogHer starts here, and we'll be releasing more details about entertainment and activities and prizes as get closer to the event.

People's Party at BlogHer '11The People's Party, 8-11PM: Whether you're a mommy, political, green, life, fashion or any other kind of blogger, all are welcome at the 6th Annual People's Party. Come one, come all and celebrate all bloggerhood to kick off BlogHer '12. The People's Party is co-hosted by BlogHer and: Velveteen Mind, The Bloggess, Motherbumper and Oh, the Joys!

Queerosphere at BlogHer '11Queerosphere, 10PM-12AM: We've been to Paris, we've danced with male and female impersonators and this year we're creating a lovely chill environment to gear up for BlogHer '12. This is the fourth annual Queerosphere and it is sure to live up to all expectations! As always Deb on the Rox is at the helm to plan that fun. The end goal is the same -- to connect and celebrate on the eve of the conference.

Friday, August 3th

BlogHer '11 Voices of the YearVoices of the Year Reception, 6-8PM: Each year we are honored to hear the community members who are selected to be the BlogHer Voices of the Year and this year is no different! Come join us as we celebrate these amazing writers and share in their success!

LTYM at BlogHer '11Listen to Your Mother/Letter to Your Mother Open Mic Salon, 8-10PM: Wow! Last year was the first year we joined forced with Ann Imig from Ann's Rants, and curator of the Listen to your Mother Shows, and it did not disappoint! Inspired by what you had just seen at the BlogHer Voices of the Year Community Keynote, you came out in droves to share more stories. We are once again sponsoring the Listen to Your Mother tour in 2012, and since LTYM is already a "show on the road," we invited it back to BlogHer '12. Unlike LTYM or Voices of the Year, this will not be a pre-selected or curated experience. This is more like a karaoke-style open mic: Pick your post, throw your name in the hat, and get the chance to read it out loud for other bloggers who are there to do the same... and who are likely all equally one-part-nervous, one-part-excited. BlogHer is for every kind of blogger, so we are adding a "Letter to Your Mother" component...because we all have a mother! So, while you're readying your submissions for the Voices of the Year, keep an eye out for posts that you might also want to read during the LTYM Open Mic Salon!

Sparklecorn at BlogHer '11Sparklecorn, 9PM-1AM: What will the fabulous Sparklecorn ladies cook up for the fourth annual Sparklecorn? Pretty sure there will be unicorns. No doubt dancing will be involved. Glow sticks and glitter? Seems reasonable to assume. But will they have other tricks up their sleeves? You'll have to come and see! Co-hosted by BlogHer and: MamaPop

Saturday, August 4th

Come as You AreCome as You Are, 6-8PM: Last year we were thrilled to partner with Aiming Low to bring their annual party to BlogHer. This year we've taken it up a notch and along with Aiming Low we have partnered with The Mouthy Housewives and are introducing the Come as You Are party! Join us all as we start the Saturday festivities "as we are." Co-hosted by BlogHer, Aiming Low and The Mouthy Housewives.

7:30-9PM: Ah, yes, there is a gap -- we know that. Something very special is being planned, and I will just tease you by saying: It will be super-stylish. And you may want to strike a pose. Just make sure to keep this time slot OPEN!

Fiesta at BlogHer '12Social Fiesta, 9-11PM: the third annual Social Fiesta is back, celebrating Latinas and Hispanic culture with music, food, dancing, connections...and more music and dancing! Dancing, music and of course, amazing food are part of the evening! Stroll on over, enjoy some heart pulsing music and get your feet and your taste buds dancing! Co-hosted by BlogHer and: LATISM.

cheeseburgher at BlogHerCheeseburgHer, 10PM-1AM: Just like the People's Party, this is the 6th annual CheeseburgHer Party at BlogHer! With music, dancing, photo booths and, well, beds, the tradition born in a 2007 hotel suite lives on! You haven't attended BlogHer until you've partied with a bag on your head! Co-hosted by BlogHer and: The CheeseburgHers.

Super-stylish? Be prepared to strike a pose? So I'm guessing that means I need to buy a dress for this year??

Denise Amanda_Magee At the risk of sounding like a total weirdo, I just tried to make it bigger so I could gawk at it some more. Lovely. :)

How many are bringing spouses? I'd love to bring mine as he has never been to NYC either. But ... I am okay to leave him home with kids if he would be odd man out.

@BehavioralChild 1250 pts

Rumour Miller I'm bringing the hubby and kid, rather they are tagging along to see NYC for the first time. But I plan on leaving them to themselves, hanging out and partying with you gals sounds much more fun!

@BehavioralChild I think my hubby will stay back with the girls and come in near the end of the weekend and we will stay on together for a couple of nights.  I can't wait to hang out with all of you and make some new friends!

I haven't been anywhere without a child attached to my leg in almost eight years.

I'm a first timer at this conference, so just confirming.. If I plan to attend Friday's conference only, am I able to go to the Friday evening party just by wearing my conference badge? If I wanted to attend a Thursday night party (if I can actually make it down to the city by then), would I need to register for Thursday's program? Many many thanks!

Looking so forward to August. BlogHer has come to be a very dear touchstone for me. Yay!

This reminded me that I had not yet purchased a party pass for the fake husband. And now that's done. ;)

The Saturday Party surprise is what I am waiting to be announced . . .I see the words style and vogue so I am rather excited by the possibilities. I definitely will be attending a few of these official parties. Getting my high heels ready. So excited.

Lori Luna 10 pts

Queen in Heels Ah yes, the Saturday Party surprise ;-)

JennaHatfield 367 pts

Yay! I adore the official parties! No stress; just show up! And, if you're my husband, head straight to the food table. (Oh, hell, I can't just blame him. It's what I do too!)

sassymonkey 1116 pts moderator

JennaHatfield Our husbands have that in common.

sassymonkey what is a party pass?  i bought hubby one day pass for friday... i think i should have got him full.  can i upgrade?

sassymonkey 1116 pts moderator

KarenLynnn A party pass is a pass to the official BlogHer parties (so pretty much everything above) and the Expo Hall but not any of the programming. If you want to upgrade to a full pass you can email amelia@blogher.com. She is our registration guru.
