Announcing BlogHer '13 Keynote Speaker Sheryl Sandberg!

BlogHer Original Post

This morning we are so pleased to announce the Saturday morning Keynote at BlogHer '13 will be a one-on-one interview with Sheryl Sandberg. As COO of Facebook and the best-selling author of Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead, Forbes is stating the obvious including her on their just-released list of the most powerful women in the world. (#6 on the list, FYI.)

She has managed to ignite a national conversation about women and leadership, and to coin a phrase -- "leaning in" -- that seemed to become ubiquitous overnight. And, in launching LeanIn.org, she is taking steps to galvanize ongoing action out of the principles articulated and advice given in her book.

We believe that BlogHers have found unique ways to "lean in" since our founding in 2005, and as Sheryl says in our press release this morning:

"BlogHer attendees are on the forefront of actively redefining the work/life dynamic."

That being the case, we're excited that, hand-in-hand with her keynote appearance, we are also announcing a partnership with LeanIn.org... which will include a live preview of Lean In Circles immediately following Sheryl's keynote, and unique content over the next year.

Please check out this morning's announcement for more information on all of the above.

And, as always, we encourage you to leave a comment with the question you would most like us to ask Sheryl when she sits down for a chat at BlogHer this July. [Register now!]

Best,
