BlogHer '11Today we are pleased to announce a new BlogHer offering called The BlogHer Pathfinder Day.

Taking place on Thursday, August 4th, the day before the full BlogHer '11 conference starts, Pathfinder Day was created to to help answer an ongoing, consistent question that we, as bloggers, often face: Where do I go from here?

We ask it when we're just starting out. We can tell we love the blogosphere, but we aren't always quite sure what our goals are. (In fact, we sometime aren't sure if we even need blogging goals.)

And sometimes we ask it again when we've been at it two, three, four years. We come to a blogging crossroads. We experience blogger burnout. We see the landscape changing and wonder about our place in it. We wonder if we need a change, or if we need to re-focus.

If that sounds like you, the BlogHer Pathfinder Day is for you.

So how can The BlogHer Pathfinder Day help?

Pathfinder Day is all about helping you dig deep and explore one of five different potential blogging paths. An all-day intensive, designed to accommodate only 40-50 attendees per path, you'll spend the morning in a fundamentals workshop, learning some real how-tos to progress down your chosen path. You'll spend the afternoon in discussion with two Pathfinders who have been down that path and want to share their stories, hear yours...and help you understand your next steps.

What is The Pathfinder Day agenda?

The day is packed full of inspiring talks, nuts-and-bolts workshops and interactive discussions designed to help you feel your path is suddenly made of more solid groud! It looks like this:

9:00-10:00: Breakfast featuring personal brand expert Sandra Miley

10:00-12:00: Morning Fundamentals Workshops featuring the Pathfinders and additional guest speakers listed below

12:00-2:00: Networking lunch, featuring motivational speaker Jess Weiner

2:00-4:00: Afternoon Journey & Milestones Discussion Groups with the Pathfinders

What are the paths, and who are the "Pathfinder" discussion leaders?

Are BlogHer Pathfinder tickets sellable/transferrable? Having a work conflict which may push my travel from the East Coast to Thursday morning, meaning I will likely miss most of the day.

Before you finish registering it will let you know if the Path you want is available.

I can tell you that the Media Company and Business paths are sold out.

Life Changer, Book Proposal and Change Agent paths still have space available.

Hi...question...if I sign up for the Pathfinder day, is it guaranteed that I will get the session I want. Or is there a way to find out if they are all full or not?

Just wanted to find out if it will tell us if we got in the Path we selected or whether it is full already. I am just now seeing this option and I have just registered but it doesn't have the Path listed on the registration so how do we know?
Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your environmental blog would lead you down the Change Agent path. Sounds like your family blog might lead you down the Business path.

Maybe since you're just starting and looking for inspiration, the Life Changer track?

I know, I'm not a lot of help, eh?

I think the Change Agents path sounds right for you. You don't have to form a non-profit to follow that path, but it sounds mostly like you want to persuade and advocate, and that's what being a change agent is all about!

I am a soon-to-be-blogger (still in the planning stages). I am planning 2 blogs. The first related to the ocean environment. The second, related to family. I am equally interested in delivering good information, and creating revenue from my sites. Please advise as to which "path" I should attend.

Thanks!

I really don't know which path I should sign up for! I'm a natural parenting green living blogger and my main goal is to help others accomplish such a lifestyle. It would be great to make some money off my blog but don't want to be in it for the money, I just want to provide decent information for people :)

Each path has a cap, so you are set for your path.

If you decide mid-day to switch paths, you may...if there is room.

I love this! I've signed up, my only question is- am I registered for the track I requested, or is it open season once we are there?

I love that it will be small-ish groups :)

The only problem with this day, which is so very cool, is that I can't attend all the tracks. Will there be video or a way to see more down the road?

I'm with Jenna. Since Hubby and Charlie are coming we're making this a family vacation. Thursday is already scheduled for the San Diego Zoo.

Otherwise, this is EXACTLY the kind of thing I need since this is my first BlogHer conference. Hopefully this will be an ongoing thing and I can do it next time!

Shoot. I wish you would have announced this before we made our travel plans. Thursday during the day was supposed to be for me and my husband. Otherwise, I would have snatched one of these up immediately.

Hope the others who do make the most of an awesome... REALLY AWESOME... opportunity. What a FABULOUS idea. Thumbs up.
