Announcing our BlogHer '13 Kick-off Keynote: Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman

BlogHer Original Post

Today we were so excited to announce yet another amazing BlogHer '13 keynote speaker: The BlogHer community's own Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman. Ree will help us kick off BlogHer '13 on Friday morning, delivering an instructive visual retrospective of her blog's evolution, taking questions in an informal Q&A, including community questions, and jump-starting a BlogHer conference tradition: Speed Dating, BlogHer-Style.

Ree started her blog in 2006, attended her first BlogHer Conference the next year, and has since been a leader within BlogHer's conferences, community, and ultimately our Network. Not to mention being one of the leading blogs and online communities online, period.

Learn from Ree's insight on how she went from zero to sixty, from starting her blog on a whim to winning the Bloggie™ Award for Weblog of the Year each year from 2009-2011! And, not content to rest on her blogging laurels, she then used her blog as a launching pad for multimedia success. You may be familiar with her hit television show. Or her four New York Times best-selling books...across three different publishing genres!

Ree's fifth book is coming out this October, and we're thrilled that she can emerge from delivering her manuscript on deadline to join us.

As you'll see if you review our full press announcement, Ree is excited to join us, too:

"Every year, I’m blown away by the motivated, creative, and talented people I meet at BlogHer, and I’m so honored to be able to help kick it off this year!"

So, as we always do: We're collecting questions. What would you ask Ree? About her blog, ranch life, photography, being a homeschooling mom of four, transitioning to the world of television, publishing cookbooks...or memoirs...or children's books, you name it.

And don't forget to share your questions for our other keynote sessions:
