So, another year is about to begin.  Students are getting ready to go to school soon - yet, we still have not addressed the terrible discrepancies in education. We still have teachers that are undertrained underpaid overworked and overanalyzed.  I totally understand that if you haven't worked in a school, you can not comprehend the lack of preparedness that most new teachers have.  It is sad. When was the last time we overhauled the teacher prep programs at the university level?  It is almost too late to address the issue when there are kids in the classroom!
