Any Chinese Girl Bloggers Here?
by chinaSMACK

Hello!

I am Fauna and I write a blog called chinaSMACK. I heard about BlogHer from another website and have joined here. I think a website about woman helping woman is a great idea but there is not a lot of Chinese people here so far. Maybe that will change in the future?

My blog is about social viral news, stories, pictures, and videos that I see every day when I check my favorite Chinese BBS forums and websites. I know many of my foreign friends and other foreigners do not really know how to use Chinese language internet and websites, so they miss a lot of things about China and real Chinese people. Most of the time, they only see politics...which is not very fun.

I translate the most popular or hot things that Chinese people are reading and talking about. Of course, I cannot do everything because I am just one person but I hope what I do can show foreigners that China and Chinese people are very similar to them because we all have good things and bad things, funny things and serious things, we love and we hurt, we laugh and we cry.

Thank you for this website and I hope everyone will be happy and successful.

descent?

Many people who are of Chinese descent, but were born and/or raised in the west have a western outlook in life.  Are we included?  Even if we're more westernized than many western people?

I hope there will be more

I hope there will be more bloggers or Chinese bloggers who can share with the rest of the world how the Chinese in China see, think, or feel. I know there are many Chinese brothers and sisters who live in many other countries. I also know that many of them are "more westernized than many western people." For example, some of the best bloggers who have helped share China with the West are Western people who live in China or travel to China often.

I also know many Chinese people in the West also do not like China or are ashamed of their brothers and sisters in China.

I hope everyone can better understand each other and why we are different but also the same. Many people do not agree on many things, but that is okay. I think the important thing is that people try to understand each other and understand that we are all people too.
