App of the Week: Playing with Math

Summer vacation is almost over and while your preschoolers and young kids are still enjoying their last few days of freedom, you most likely want to help them get ready for school.

We’ve found a fun app we think will help take away the math blues by making math fun! We think that making learning fun is a great idea!

Lola’s Math Train Lite

We joined Lola on her journey as she makes her way through a fun filled environment of bright colors, interactive characters and creative problem solving to get all of her friends to a party!

Lola’s Math Train encourages children to learn key mathematical skills like adding, subtracting and puzzle solving all while having fun. New challenges are added at each stage, based on your child’s success, but previously learned concepts are continuously reinforced, so that your child will be challenged yet still feel comfortable and not frustrated.

The Lite version of Lola’s Math Train offers only one starting level (Easy) to choose from and 9 fun games to play with Lola Panda. In the Full version your child will have more games to play, various levels to choose from and the special AI technology will adapt the games and make them suitably more difficult as your child’s skills improve.

This app is geared for 3- to 7-year-olds, and provides just the right amount of fun, challenge and positive reinforcement! Lola’s Math Train will really help get your kids ready for school – they will love helping Lola and have fun doing math as they master numbers and develop their counting skills!
