Apple Pie Oatmeal Recipe

This morning I felt the need to get a little crazy with breakfast. 

I was craving something sweet, warm and filling.

Enter apple pie oatmeal.

Everything you could want and more from a breakfast.

After I made the dish, I got even crazier and added Maple Syrup. 

I'm so smart.

Apple Pie Oatmeal

Serving Size: 2

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup oatmeal {any kind you can make in the microwave}
  • 2 cups water, separated
  • 2 small apples {green or red will work. I had green on hand}
  • 3/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 2 tbsp Maple Syrup, separated

Directions:

  1. Mix oatmeal and spices.
  2. Split into two microwavable bowls.
  3. Dice your apples and add one apple to each bowl.
  4. Fill each bowl with 1 cup of water and mix everything together.
  5. Heat in the microwave for 2 minutes.
  6. Top each bowl with a tablespoon of maple syrup.
