Are you a LinkedIn user? Probably the question would better be: How many times do you connect to your LikedIn site per day? If you use a Blackberry, probably the temptation is permanent. I only connect to my site when I'm in the computer.
It really surprises me everyday to see people connecting their lives to their portable gadgets and inviting, talking, chatting, tweetering all day long. I understand you can get a feeling of being connected, but, are you really? I cannot avoid thinking about a Facebook group called "You are my Facebook friend but if I meet you personally I don't greet you". It is absurd, but it happens.
I realize the networking possibilites of LinkedIn are unlimited. The capacity to meet people with similar interests and to learn what's new and what's going on in your work field is just amazing. The problem to me is, I think, you can start living your life through the Net, forgetting to get in real contact with the people, your friends and coworkers.
I guess its all a matter of equilibrium. What do you think?
