by Lisa Stone

Meet Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley, who recently went on CNBC to make a business case for health care reform:

You're invited to sign up on a first-come, first-served basis to join us when BlogHer moderates a telephone conference call with Sen. Merkley at 1:45pm Eastern, 10:45am Pacific on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Please add your name below and any blog URL if you have one (that's not required :). We'll be back in touch with the phone number and logistics. Would love to take part

Would love to take part again, especially after speaking with Speaker Pelosi today, I now have a clearer view of the questions that need to be asked.

And thanks again for sponsoring these calls.  I have a lot more clarity, and in some cases, respect, for this entire process now.

I will be on the call

I'd like to ask about what's likely to pass the Senate and just how many compromises it will take to get it done.
