BlogHer Original Post

At 2PM Eastern today (July 6, 2011), the White House will hold its first-ever Twitter town hall meeting. President Obama will answer questions on the economy and jobs submitted by Twitter users using the hashtag #AskObama.

"Questions addressed during the town hall will be selected both in advance and in real-time during the event," Twitter said in a blog post.

The president will answer select questions in a live webcast from the East Room of the White House in front of an audience that will include BlogHer's Erin Kotecki Vest (aka Queen of Spain).

Twitter cofounder Jack Dorsey will moderate, assisted by a team of curators made up of what the Twitter blog post described as "seasoned Twitter users.
