Attend the West Metro Family Fire Muster to LEARN, PRACTICE, PLAY!

The weather is warming up and children are counting the days until summer.  Parents are brainstorming ways to keep their children entertained, without going broke.  Thus begins the hunt of finding low cost activities to get families out of the house.  West Metro Fire Rescue provides a great opportunity on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at the 14th Annual West Metro Fire Rescue Family Fire Muster.  The event runs 9:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Red Rocks Community College’s Lakewood campus, at 13300 West 6th Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80228.

The West Metro Fire Rescue Family Fire Muster is not only FUN, but EDUCATIONAL, teaching children about safety with more than 13 hands-on activities.  Activities like Dial 9-1-1 show them how to dial 9-1-1 in the case of a real emergency and the Teddy Bear Clinic teaches Basic First Aid with cute, cuddly stuffed animals as patients.  Tools Not Toys teaches children the difference between tools for parents (like matches and lighters) and toys for kids.  The Family Fire Muster is an exciting way for families to learn and play together and it’s FREE!
