Avoid Holiday Weight Gain By Wearing Snug Fitting Clothing
by Catherine Morgan

If you avoid wearing loose fitting clothing, you will also avoid overeating and possible weight gain.

It's much easier to overeat when we are wearing loose fitting clothing (such as sweats). So, try sticking to jeans that fit well or are a little snug, and you might avoid picking up some of those extra holiday pounds.

That's Not What I Wanted To Hear..

...really, it's not.  I have a cookie exchange to go to tomorrow night.  I'm sure there's lots of cookies and drinks to be had.  I was planning on wearing my baggie pants.

Sigh.

Snug Clothing

By this point in the holiday-party season, I have no trouble going to my closet and finding some snug and close-fitting clothes to wear!

True That!

Aah, the clever, clever jeans.  The ones that don't leave much room to pig out.  They have their place, don't they!

I've often employed this strategy--especially when going to a buffet restaurant.  My snug britches don't allow me to be comfortable if I eat too much--the perfect control mechanism!

The Dryer Doesn't Lie

I've gotten very good about avoiding weight gain during the holidays...but sometimes I do find myself putting off the pile of laundry...the jeans that stretch with you, also tumble dry right back to their regular size.

Hahaha

That made me laugh aloud. I'm much more conscious of what i'm eating if i have tight clothes on. Also I'm going to Puerto Rico in a few weeks and just the thought of wearing a bathing suit is keeping my hand out of the cookie jar. Somewhat. :-)

Totally Agree

Your clothes are a great way of keeping yourself from over-indulging. Feeling like you need to loosen your waistband in order to breathe does not feel good. I'm way more conscious of what I'm eating when I wear something that fits me snugly.
