Avoiding "Mama Drama," the etiquette of playgroups

For the past four years, I have actively participated in Meetup playgroups, Yahoo groups, and local boards, all in the name of socializing with other parents of young children so the kids and I do not go stir crazy from only having each other for company.  From these groups, I have forged lifelong friendships with wonderful families, but play groups can bring with it an entire dynamic of “crazy” that is reminiscent of high school cliques if not for unspoken etiquette of its members.  I have watched the dissolution, the resurrection, and the reformation of groups, and any hard feelings from these changes simply can be summed up as “mama drama.”

So, what are these unspoken rules, and how does one actually avoid mama drama?  These are my personal top rules, and they are nothing more than just good old common sense and manners that my mama taught me.  Feel free to comment and add yours!
