Beauty Product Review: Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation
Looking for a foundation that looks natural and protects you against the sun’s rays? How about Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation.
We’re all looking for the perfect foundation. A base that will even out your skin tone, minimize any fine lines you may have, protect you from the sun and look natural. That’s a pretty big order. It’s as if you’re looking for three different types of foundation in one bottle. Or tube, or palette, or whatever they put it in.Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation ($60, napoleonperdis.com) has combined everything you’ve ever wanted in a foundation and this product is it. But wait, there’s more! The tube has its own brush. Yes, it has a foundation brush built right in, making it easy to apply the product to your face and not waste it everywhere else.
When I tried the foundation, I first applied it to the back of my hand. Once blended in, the foundation appeared shimmery---as if it was one of those “dewy” types of foundations that make your face look wet. I cautiously applied it to my face and was, to put it mildly, pleasantly surprised. Okay, thrilled.
You see, the foundation looked like my skin. It didn’t make my skin look “made up.” tt didn't look artifically "dewy," or "wet," or "slick." It looked like healthy, glowing skin.
If you’re a fan of the “no makeup makeup look,” then Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation is your new best friend.
If you’re looking for a foundation that evens out your skin tone whilst imparting sun protection, this is it. Sadly, the only part of my face that tans is my nose. I wear big sunnies all year round and forget to put on sun block. The result is, you guessed it, a tanned nose. When I applied Napoleon’s newest foundation, it (miracle of miracles) made my nose blend in with the rest of my fair skin. And it looked natural. How? It uses something called Microlens Pure Light Technology. That imparts luminosity to your skin whilst somehow (I don’t know how, but it works) banishing uneven skin tone and getting rid of dark circles.
Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation has an SPF20, contains green tea leaf, Echinacea Purpurea, and Japanese Knotwood Root extracts and Vitamins C and E (antioxidants). The brush is notmade from animal hair. Oh, the product is also paraben-free.
Most importantly, the Napoleon Perdis Stroke of Genius Liquid Cashmere Foundation feels weightless when you’re wearing it.
