1 Thessalonians 4:17 says “Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
How are you preparing yourself to be ready for a blessings? How are you preparing yourself to be ready to help your family? Many times when we hear the word ready we think it’s something that will take place right away, when in fact it is totally different. Being ready is preparing one self so you won’t be caught off guard.
We prepare our children when they are small to get them ready to go off to school for the first time, by teaching them those little songs in first grade, we teach them how to go to the bathroom, and how to eat food with silverware. All of these things we do is getting them ready.
But when it comes to ourselves we lack in preparing ourselves to be ready for a blessing from God. We think that God is going to do all the work and all we have to do is lay back and wait for it. God desires for us to prepare ourselves by first getting our hearts ready. How can you receive from God if you aren’t ready to receive it, for the moment you get it you will not appreciate it. God has steps that He is wanting to place each one of us in He has directions for our lives and He has people in whom He want us to minster to but if we aren’t ready how can we?
People say well I want to be married but how can you say it when you haven’t prepared yourself for marriage, you say you want to have a family but you haven’t prepared yourself for a family. One does not have to have the missing element in order to prepare themselves for it. You want to be the manager on your job then start by showing leaderships skills, remember when our hearts are right everything else will fall in line. AMEN
