Best. Present. Ever

Best. Present. Ever.

Oh Happy Day

I have some exciting news to share – something that I’ve been wanting to do for years (reference this post here), is finally coming true!

Well, first let’s back up. I will have to note that I do have a big birthday coming up.  And let’s just say it’s of the variety that I don’t feel much like celebrating, but it is, none the less, a milestone, in more ways than the obvious.

I’ve been writing NLV for a few years now, which has helped me be able to do the things I love to do – like write and connect and help people. One of the big reasons I started NLV is because, at a time when I so desperately needed something to guide me to where I was supposed to go, what I was supposed to do, I found a book and devoured it, and my eyes were opened.

That NY Times best-selling book, as many of you know, is The Passion Test – The Effortless Path to Discovering Your Life Purpose by Janet and Chris Attwood.

I had always been interested in self-empowerment/development, new-age materials, but this book was different. It forced me to understand what is important to me, what are my top priorities in life, and how to align myself with living those top passions and priorities, every day.

I had never realized the power of this method until I found that book – I had always just known something was missing – that somehow my path, my passion, my reason, would just come to me — which now makes a lot of sense as to why I was so frustrated until then.

One day, I sat on a park bench under a giant shady tree with my then baby girl napping at my side, and read as much as I could before mommy bliss nap was over, and I, for the first time, WROTE DOWN, and prioritized and CLARIFIED what my most important things were – HOW I wanted to live my life, WHAT I wanted to accomplish.

It felt a little magical, or maybe a lot magical. I was hooked.

Phew! that was a big back up. But I tell you all of this so you understand what a profound impact this book had on my life, and that, my super duper amazing hubs, in his stealth awesomeness has arranged for me to get my Passion Test Certification! Happy Birthday to moi! Wohoo!!!!

Yes, this is a thing people, and it’s going to be AN INCREDIBLE experience that I just can’t wait to fill you all in on and share my stories and revelations. It’s all going down next month.  It feels surreal – exciting yet nerve-wracking, but I know this is what I’m meant to do, so I can share the clarity that I gained from The Passion Test.

See Janet’s story here of how she started on The Passion Test journey- it’s a great story that makes me smile.

Stay tuned, be well, and in the meantime, I’d love to hear if you’ve read The Passion Test and what effect it’s had on your life (or any other book that’s affected your life profoundly).  Please comment and let me know!
