Do You Bruise Easily?

[My partner bruises easily. Very, very easily. She has so many bruises on so many parts of her body that it often seems like there's no part of her body that is not bruised. You can just look at her and she bruises. But, I don't believe she's ever had bruises on her arms like this... Go look... Do you bruise easily? And can you laugh about it? - Denise]

Life is much more colorful when you bruise easy. And last week I had bruises of varying degrees. On all four limbs. Don't worry, no one has been grabbing on me. I just have terrible coordination and the unfortunate luck of getting twin bruises. Go ahead, laugh. . . .

Protein or Vitamin B deficiencies and certain types of cancer can also cause excessive bruising... it's something to talk to your doctor about.

You might want to get some blood work run, this kind of bruising can be a sign of low iron.

Rubbing it out right away always helps trick the body that nothing just happened and also after you see what im talking about what could have been a humungus blurple leach looking thing is actually quarter sized a much better dealing with the now down sized bruise just from the quick friction you kinda ironed it out but the color is still dark and there so the next best thing is dabbing some arnica ointment on there and watch it dissapear faster and in no time now you see it now you dont and this could all be less happening by eating iron packed foods and taking your daily dose of vitamin c so that your blood vessels are strong against any

I bruise super-easily, usually just on my legs. I always jokee that I am the victim of secret ritual leg abuse, but I am just really uncoordinated. Most of the time I don't even know where I got them. Bloodwork is normal. C'est la vie.

I take coumadine because I have a blood disorder called Protein S deficiency that causes my blood to stay TOO thick. If I bump into something, I get bruises not matter what. Half the time I don't even remember what I bumped into.

My physical therapist, when i asked him how i could get rid of a new bruise i got for softball, suggested keeping my liver as clean as possible. Hmmm. I wonder if people have bruises longer today than 100 years ago simply because the world is so much more toxic.

If you bruise easily it's very possible you have low platelets. Platelets are what causes your blood to clot up after you get hurt and bleed. If you have low platelets you bleed longer which could be bad. Get a blood test and see.
