Hi there, it's me, Sheryl, from Paper Napkin. I don't know about you, but I hate all the effort involved in removing mascara. Ponds cold cream, and five minutes of wipe, wipe, wipe? Not fun. It's a real first world dilemma, I tell you. When I heard about Blinc's Kiss Me Mascara, I decided to give it a try. It is pricey, but I don't mind splurging for a product, if it's a good one.

Blinc is not a paint-based mascara. Instead it "tubes" your lashes, so that your mascara never runs. It's supposed to be less hassle to remove too-- warm water and pressure is all that's needed to remove it. Sounds good to me. It's also claims to be gentle on sensitive eyes, and I have very sensitive eyes, so that's another plus.
This morning my lovely Sephora box arrived with my new Blinc mascara in
it. So I put on my makeup, and readied myself for a new adventure in,
um, eyelash grooming? Alrighty then.
This is me with my makeup on, but no mascara. Yes, I'm looking up to hide my double chin. Sue me.

Here is a close up of my eye without mascara. Have you ever tried to take a picture of your eye? Not so easy. In fact, let's all be thankful you don't have to look up my nose as many times as I did today.
As you can see my lashes are teeny, definitely in need of some volumizing.
Here is that very same eye after applying Blinc. No really, no eye swtiching was done.
I was hoping that Blinc would be better than my drugstore mascara. But it looks pretty much the same, which isn't neccesarily a bad thing, but I wouldn't have minded a miracle mascara. Since I hadn't worn mascara in a while, I decided I would put my usual mascara on the other eye, to see how they compared.
Thar she blows:
Really about the same. Here are both eyes, one with blinc, the other with Maybeline, and me, looking slightly crosseyed.

Pretty much the same. Now that I've been wearing both for a little while, I can tell you that the Blinc feels much better. It doesn't irritate my eye at all. Also, I can feel the weight of the Maybeline, but the Blinc just feels normal. That's kinda nice. I will follow up on how easy/difficult it was to remove. It's got to be easier than Maybeline, and you can sleep in it, for those nights when you forget to wash your face.
Overall? I'm glad I bought it. It does as good a job on my lashes as my regular mascara, and feels much lighter on my eyes. It will probably be a lot easier to remove. I'm not sure if I'll buy it again, because $25 is a lot for me to spend on mascara.
UPDATE.................................................................
Last night when I removed the mascara, I really wasn't impressed. When you apply warm water and pressure, the mascara's "tubes" come off in your hand, that part was fine. It is considerably easier to remove Blinc's mascara than the paint-based Maybeline, but Blinc left some black residue under my eye. For $25, I don't want to deal with racoon eye, no matter how minor. I'm sending Blinc back to Sephora for a refund. I think what I really need is a better eye makeup remover.
