Hi Maurene - Great idea on Blog Action Day
Maurene, it was such a pleasure to meet you at BlogHer '07! Thank you for all the live-blogging you did in Chicago.
I agree with you that Blog Action Day is an excellent example for BlogHers Act (for anyone new to the site, here's the latest post. I also out my favorite choice on my recent newsletter). Idea: Would you be willing to report back on BlogHer on your take on Blog Action Day as a participant? By that I mean, how Blog Action Day worked for you, how much of a difference you felt you made, what was great about it, what could be even greater. The benefit of having a year is that we can use numerous tactics to tackle our cause.
Which leads me (you knew I would go here, right? :) to the current hot-ticket for BlogHers Act: Voting for our cause. The umbrella issue is Global Health, a vast tract of urgent issues. Emily McKhann and Cooper Munroe have boiled the possible issues down to this

Would love to know your thoughts -- Maurene and everyone...

Blog Action Day and BlogHers Act
Hi Lisa,
It was a pleasure to meet you as well.
About Blog Action Day, I'll be happy to share my experiences. Since my blog posts are hosted on ZDNet, I have the advantage of reaching a large audience. It will be interesting to see the number of hits and comments that it generates. (A listing and short intro of my posts appear at my blog site also.)
The best way to keep current on the project is to subscribe to the Blog Action Day blog.
I've cast my vote in the MicroPoll. Each topic is worthy of support. If you haven't voted, take a moment to do so now.
