The blog protection programme

As of last night, my blog was placed in this programme. Akin to the better known federal witness protection programme, the blog is now safely locked down and awaiting a new identity.

A bit earlier in the evening, I unwittingly sent an email to my ex, asking the most innocent of questions: was this home invasion in the building we first lived in 29 years ago?

Except about an hour later it came to me that I'd not vetted the outgoing addy, and sure enough - it was the email addy carrying the name of my blog. Oops.

Since I've discussed a lot of personal history, that addy in her hands would lead to something that would be rather discomforting.

So it is rebuild. Fortunately I can easily do so by importing the 825 or so posts, building a new front page, getting new domain name registered, etc... but it still sucks. I liked how everything was set up, liked the name, etc.

And now it is sending me to parts unknown, in new guise.

Good lesson for me

I've thought about creating a really really anonymous blog but I have dragged my feet because I know I'll do something just like you did - no doubt about it.

Ugh.

I'm sorry RE.

Nah, you wouldn't...

Is ok, things got better today. More later.

BTW, on anonymous blogs, guess who has one? Just set it up before all of this, and I'm going to write some fiction as the mood strikes. :)
