    <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>A group of three passionate bloggers in Australia started up a new website called Aussie bloggers recently. It kickstarted with a <a href="http://www.aussiebloggers.com.au/forum/">forum</a> to get interest and discussion going and the <a href="http://www.aussiebloggers.com.au/">accompanying blog</a> launched one month ago. The forum now boasts 363 members and it is a very active forum.</p>
<p>It's not just open to Australians though, everyone is welcome and while it's mostly Australian, there are people from all over the world also.</p>

<p>I know when I started blogging nearly four years ago I mainly read blogs that were written in the States and felt somewhat disconnected from Australian bloggers because it was hard to find them. It's not quite so hard now and there's some really good blogs and a fantastic blogging community happening.</p>

    <title>Group writing projects</title>

    <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>A way of getting some inspiration for writing is to join group writing projects. Usually the people holding the group writing projects offer prizes which is always a drawcard for me.</p>
<p>It's a win-win situation all round because:</p>
<p>- you get to write material for your blog<br />
- you have a chance to win prizes<br />
- you get the potential for additional readers when your link is posted on the host's blog<br />
- they also get more readers due to the project.</p>

Get in quick for MamaBlogga though, as it finishes on 6 September.</p>

I talked a while back about my <a href="http://www.semanticallydriven.com/2007/04/three_years_alm.html">blog being almost the longest relationship I've ever had</a>. We had a talk, my blog and I, and we decided that it deserved its own domain name, that it had been far too long living with Typepad's name.</p>
<p>Off we went to GoDaddy and registered <a href="http://www.semanticallydriven.com" title="www.semanticallydriven.com">www.semanticallydriven.com</a>.</p>

It is an oxymoron because there are not really any choices in the updated Workplace Relations Act. In fact, it took a lot of choice and money away from many workers - mostly from workers who could ill afford it.</p>
