I just returned from BlogHer 2008 in San Franciso. I appeared on a panel with four other women called FAQs for Beginning Bloggers. Our panel was flat-out amazing. We met fantastic bloggers and answered many beginner questions. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to answer everyone's questions.
In the spirit of the holiday season and BlogHer's Holiday Guide, I'm hosting a carnival on Monday, November 12 and asking participants to list at least five items that may be a little different than the run-of-the-mill socks and underwear we usually give as gifts. Your list can include pre-made items (linked to the store where we can purchase the item) or items to make (linked to tutorials). You can read more about the carnival at Don't Try This at Home.
From the moment I realized I was pregnant right up to this very moment I have loved being a mother. I have not always liked it, but I have loved it.
My pregnancy was easy: no morning sickness, no weird cravings. (I did gain 50 lbs because I took pregnancy as a sign to have carte blanch at every Mexican restaurant this side of the state.) For the most part, though, being pregnant was the best I've felt in my life.
This is the eternal question. It's frustrating to know that anyone and everyone can simply right-click to save your photos to their own computer for their own use.
The short answer to the problem is nothing can prevent this action completely. Just about every work-around has a loophole. The good news, though, is that there are a few things that make the user think twice about just downloading your graphics and photos.
Guilt Punished or Guilty Pleasure?
Last night Husband took the kids to the gym with him. They love to go to this gym; the kids' area is one big playground with electronic wall ball, soccer, volleyball, etc. The idea is to keep them active and not sedentary while mom and/or dad are working out. That has nothing to do with this post, I just put it in there. Free info. You're welcome.
