When 2013 Is Not A Date, But A Vision For Victory

Presumptive GOP presidential nominee John McCain has a vision of what his first term in office will look like, and it includes America welcoming home '"most" of it's servicemen and women by 2013.

"...the following are conditions that I intend to achieve. And toward that end, I will focus all the powers of the office, every skill and strength I possess, and seize every opportunity to work with members of Congress who put the national interest ahead of partisanship, and any country in the world that shares our hopes for a more peaceful and prosperous world.

My mother has never been the most political person in our family. Pregnant with me at 18-years of age, her life was preoccupied with things like bassinets and receiving blankets instead of the economy and war.

However it was my mother who wrote the note to my high school principal on MY 18th birthday excusing me from class so I could go register to vote.

It was also my mother who encouraged me to get involved in anything and everything regardless of what our Catholic neighborhood shunned or what our relatives said.
